26-Year-Old Man Shot Dead Outside His Home In South Oropouche — Police Investigating
A man is dead following a shooting incident outside his home in South Oropouche on Monday night (3rd February, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Aaron Lallan of St. Mary’s Village, South Oropouche, a father of a 1-year-old girl. He was known to Police and recently survived another shooting incident.
According to reports, Lallan was shot near his car, around 9:25 PM on Monday night. He sustained gunshot injuries to his neck and back and died at the scene.He would have celebrated his 27th birthday in the next two (2) weeks.
Crime scene investigators recovered five (5) spent shells and a live round of 9mm ammunition.
Police confirmed that Lallan was charged in January during the State of Emergency for possession of a firearm and ammunition and was out on bail. Lallan reportedly received death threats stemming from an altercation last year.
In December, an assailant shot at him, but he managed to escape unharmed.
Investigations are continuing by Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region III.
