TWO (2) Friends Killed In Early Morning Crash In Plaisance Park

Two (2) men are dead following a horrific road traffic accident in Plaisance Park, Pointe-a-Pierre, early this morning (Saturday 25th April, 2026). The deceased have been identified as “Markie” and Tyrek James, aka “Skunk.” They were said to be friends. According to reports, the pair were in a silver motor vehicle (PBO 2365) when the crash occurred. Police, Fire and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene.  No further information is available at this time. Investigations are continuing into the fatal crash. 46-Year-Old Man Dies After Crashing Into Concrete Barrier In Freeport

A man is dead following a road traffic accident in Freeport on Thursday afternoon (16th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Francois Baptiste of Ramlal Street, Chickland Road, Freeport. According to reports, Baptiste was killed when his vehicle collided with a concrete barrier along Mission Road, Freeport, around 1:00 PM. Speaking with Guardian Media at the family’s home, Baptiste’s mother, 78-year-old Jassodra Girley Tookhai, said she was shocked to learn of his death. She last saw her son earlier that morning and he appeared to be in good spirits. Tookhai said Baptiste had changed the battery in his blue Nissan Wingroad on Wednesday (15th April, 2026) and later left home to go out. She added that Baptiste had fallen ill in 2012, suffering from diabetes and other ailments, and had been on disability since then. 38-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck, Dragged By Vehicle Along Preysal Main Road; Driver Fails To Stop

A man is dead after he was struck and dragged by a vehicle along the Preysal Main Road last night (Wednesday 15th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Martin Machikan, of Main Road, Preysal. The driver of the vehicle is said to have failed to stop following the impact. According to reports, Machikan was struck by a white motor vehicle while he was on the roadway. The impact caused him to be dragged along the roadway before the same vehicle then ran over him during what is believed to have been an overtaking manoeuvre. The driver did not stop after the fatal impact, with reports indicating the vehicle continued on its way.  CCTV footage obtained from the area only shows portions of the incident, capturing the vehicle appearing to drag and subsequently run over the victim. 63-Year-Old Man Dies In Highway Crash Near La Brea; Vehicle Found 30 Feet Down Ditch

A man is dead following a road traffic accident along the Archibald-De Leon Highway, near La Brea, on Saturday night (11th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 63-year-old Brian Aberdeen, aka ‘Zuggy,’ of Boodoosingh Lane, Rousillac. According to reports, Aberdeen was driving a black Nissan Wingroad in a Southerly direction along the Archibald-De Leon Highway, when he lost control near the Vance River flyover and collided with a traffic sign, around 7:40 PM. The vehicle then flipped several times before landing approximately thirty (30) feet down in a ditch.  Police, Fire and Emergency Health Services were notified. Officers of the La Brea Police Station, the South Western Division Patrol Unit and the Point Fortin Fire Station responded to the scene.  Upon arrival, first responders found Aberdeen approximately ten (10) feet away from the vehicle, lying in nearby bushes. UPDATE (20/04/26):  The 32-year-old man detained in connection with the jet ski incident that claimed the life of 7-year-old Angelica Jogie at Pigeon Point Beach has been released from custody as investigations remain ongoing. The suspect was arrested at his Canaan home in the early hours of Thursday 9th April, 2026, a day after the jet ski he was operating allegedly collided with Angelica, her parents, and another relative. Angelica’s body was later transported to Trinidad and she was laid to rest on Saturday (18th April, 2026), at her family’s home in Monkey Town, Barrackpore. 21-Year-Old Suspect Apprehended Following Road Traffic Accident In Port-of-Spain

Officers of the Emergency Response Patrol (ERP) branch successfully apprehended a suspect following a road traffic accident in Port-of-Spain on Saturday afternoon (5th April, 2026). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), at approximately 1:40 PM, PCs Lewis and Dillon, both attached to the Port-of-Spain/Western Division ERP, were on static duty at the corner of Gordon and Frederick Streets, when they responded to a reported road traffic accident at the corner of New and Henry Streets. While approaching the scene, the Officers observed two (2) male individuals running from one of the vehicles involved in the accident. The Officers pursued the suspects on foot, and with the assistance of Officers from the Port-of-Spain Task Force, one (1) individual was apprehended. 44-Year-Old Cyclist Dies After Crashing Into Perimeter Fence During Easter Grand Prix At Skinner Park

A cyclist is dead following a tragic accident during a competitive cycling event at Skinner Park, San Fernando, on Friday night (3rd April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Colin “Creepy” Wilson of Lanse Mitan Road, Carenage. According to reports, during the Six Laps Masters 40 – 49 event at the 2026 Easter International Cycling Grand Prix, Wilson made contact with the track’s perimeter fencing, resulting in severe injuries to his neck. The incident occurred around 7:15 PM. Medical personnel stationed at the venue responded immediately, administering emergency care before transporting him to the San Fernando General Hospital via Ambulance for urgent treatment. However, despite efforts to stabilize him, Wilson succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival. He was pronounced dead at approximately 7:27 PM. A woman is dead following a road traffic accident along Rivulet Road in Couva on Saturday (4th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as Tracy Joseph. According to reports, Joseph was driving a grey Nissan sedan (PCD 744) along Rivulet Road, near a bend, when her vehicle was struck on the left side by a white pickup van. The accident occurred during rainfall. Both vehicles sustained extensive damages. Police, Fire and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. However, Joseph succumbed to her injuries. It is unclear how many other persons were injured. Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash. Ambulance With Patient Onboard Crashes Into Car At Curepe Junction, Multiple Injuries Reported

According to reports, an Ambulance from the North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA), with a patient onboard, crashed into a car at the Curepe Junction a short while ago this evening (Friday 3rd April, 2026), which then triggered multiple crashes and injuries. The Ambulance is alleged to have breached a red light and slammed into a car, which then crashed into two (2) taxi drivers and two (2) parked taxis on the roadway. The NCRHA Ambulance was said to be transporting a patient from the Arima Hospital to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope, when the incident occurred. Police are currently at the scene, with injured persons on the ground. Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle While Attempting To Cross Highway In Chaguanas

A pedestrian is currently hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the Uriah Butler Highway, in the vicinity of the Divali Nagar site in Chaguanas, on Wednesday afternoon (1st April, 2026). The victim has been identified as Lester Joseph. Initial reports stating the man succumbed to his injuries were later deemed incorrect. According to reports, a 41-year-old man from Williamsville was driving a white Hyundai Tucson (PDN 5709), heading North along the middle lane, when Joseph attempted to cross the Highway near the Divali Nagar site, around 12:45 PM. While the motorist attempted to avoid the collision, the left side of the vehicle still struck Joseph. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. Joseph was subsequently conveyed to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope via Ambulance, where he was treated for a fractured right arm and lacerations to his right eye and forehead.  Hospital staff...

A man is dead following a road traffic accident along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in San Fernando on Friday morning (27th March, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Prisons Officer, Keston Crooks of Rock River Road, St. Helena. The site of the crash adds to a series of tragic accidents along the stretch above the Cipero River. According to reports, Crooks lost control of his Toyota motor vehicle (PCY 2336) and crashed into the median of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, near C3 Centre, shortly before 12:00 PM. The vehicle sustained extensive damage. Police, Fire and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene.  Crooks was extracted from the vehicle and rushed to the San Fernando General Hospital for emergency medical treatment, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries. A Police Officer is dead after he was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the Churchill Roosevelt Highway in Maloney on Thursday morning (26th March, 2026). The deceased has been identified as Police Constable Boochan (No. 17621), who was last assigned to the Piarco Police Station. He was reportedly on vacation leave at the time and undergoing dialysis treatment. 2 Dead, 41 Injured After Air Canada Plane Collides With Fire Truck At LaGuardia Airport, New York

The pilot and co-pilot of an Air Canada Express passenger jet are dead after the plane struck a Port Authority vehicle at LaGuardia Airport in New York late last night (Sunday 22nd March, 2026). Forty-one (41) people were injured in the collision and were treated at local Hospitals, with some seriously injured. Thirty-two (32) have since been released, the Port Authority said. The collision involved a Jazz Aviation flight operated on behalf of Air Canada. The plane was carrying seventy-two (72) passengers and four (4) crew members.
