At Least 5 Killed As Amazon Prime Cargo Plane Overruns Runway At Miami International Airport
According to reports, at least five (5) people are dead and five (5) others injured after an Amazon Prime cargo plane overran the runway at Miami International Airport this afternoon (Sunday 6th September, 2026), crashing into multiple vehicles before catching fire. A full ground stop has been issued for the Airport. The terrifying incident is said to have occurred while the plane was attempting to land at the Airport, around 2:00 PM local time, according to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and Airport Officials. Authorities have not yet released further details on the fatalities or the injuries. Fire Officials said the airplane caught fire following the crash, with more than sixty (60) fire units responding to the scene, involving multiple patients.
