6-Year-Old Girl In ICU After Being Found Unresponsive In Pool At Gasparillo Fun Park

A 6-year-old girl is currently hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after she was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a children’s recreational facility in Gasparillo on Friday afternoon (10th April, 2026). The child has been identified as Skylar Gabriel. The pool measures approximately forty-five (45) feet by twenty (20) feet, with a depth ranging between three (3) feet and five (5) feet.  According to initial reports, Skylar was in the pool with other children at Bumper Jumperz Fun Park, located along Morash Avenue, Bonne Aventure, when she was found unresponsive, around 1:20 PM. Her parents, Fire Officer Sheldon Gabriel and Firefighter Desire Walters, were on the premises at the time.  They were alerted when the child was discovered motionless in the water. 62-Year-Old Man Drowns While Bathing At Tyrico Bay

A man drowned while bathing off the North coast at Tyrico Bay on Sunday afternoon (8th March, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 62-year-old Anthony Daniel of Upper Thomasine Street, Laventille. He died after being pulled under by a wave. According to reports, Daniel arrived at the beach sometime between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Approximately half an hour later, he entered the water and began bathing, around twenty (20) to thirty (30) feet from the shoreline. However, while in the water, a wave reportedly pulled him under. Bystanders managed to pull Daniel back to shore several minutes later, where CPR was immediately started in an effort to revive him. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and Officers from the Maracas Bay Police Station responded to the scene, around 2:45 PM. BODY Washes Ashore At Beach In Tobago — Police Investigating

UPDATE (04/03/26): The body found washed ashore in Tobago has been identified as “Stacy” from Golconda, San Fernando . She was reportedly found unclothed, with a rope wrapped around her neck. A body washed ashore at a beach in the village of Hope, Tobago, this afternoon (Tuesday 3rd March, 2026). The deceased has not yet been identified. The area in which the body was found is in the vicinity of the newly-constructed district office for Mt. St. George/Goodwood THA Area Representative Megan Morrison. Police were alerted and responded to the scene. The area was cordoned off. A teenager tragically drowned at Clifton Hill Beach in Point Fortin on Friday evening (2nd January, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Emmanuel Williams of Gonzales Village, Guapo, a former student of Point Fortin East Secondary School. According to reports, Williams went on a beach lime at the Clifton Hill Beach Facility with three (3) friends in the early afternoon. However, while diving off some rocks, one of his friends, a 17-year-old boy, got into difficulties in the water sometime after 3:00 PM. Williams and other beachgoers immediately rendered assistance and managed to pull the 17-year-old out of the water — but then Williams did not resurface. A baby girl is suspected to have drowned in a pool at a private residence in a gated community in Diego Martin on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday 31st December, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 10-month-old Alya Amalia Ramjit, who was born on 21st February, 2025. According to reports, Alya was left in the care of her grandmother at the family’s two-storey home, while her parents briefly went upstairs. However, when the child’s father returned downstairs a short time later, he noticed his mother was alone and the baby was nowhere in sight. Upon asking about her whereabouts, the grandmother said she did not know. After searching the house, Alya’s father went to a door on the Southern side of the home and looked toward a swimming pool located on the property. BODY of Man Found Floating Face-Down In Sea Off Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando

The body of a man was discovered floating face-down in the sea off Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando, this morning (Saturday 13th December, 2025). The deceased has not yet been identified. According to reports, an elderly man, identified as 68-year-old Bobby Maharaj, spotted the body floating in the sea, shortly after 11:00 AM. Maharaj believes he saw the same man on Friday night (12th December, 2025), walking towards the direction of the sea. Several hours later, while in the same area on Saturday morning, Maharaj noticed a body floating face-down in the water. He attempted to alert a passing Police vehicle, which did not stop.  Police were subsequently notified of the grim discovery and responded to the scene. 46-Year-Old Fisherman DROWNS In Guayaguayare

A fisherman is said to have drowned during a fishing trip in Guayaguayare on Friday afternoon (10th October, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Ramdath Pana of New Grant, Princes Town. According to reports, Pana had gone fishing with his friend at Pt. Galeota Road, Guayaguayare, around 12:00 PM. Both men walked approximately 600 feet into the water to throw a fishing net, after which Pana remained on the shore. However, approximately six (6) minutes later, Pana’s friend noticed that he had disappeared. After calling out to him with no response, he sought help from nearby friends to search the area. They later discovered Pana’s body floating face-down in the water. Despite efforts to resuscitate him, Pana was unresponsive. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and Police officers assigned to the Mayaro Police Station, led by WPC Jagroop and PC Osondu, responded and were guided to the scene. 57-Year-Old Man DROWNS At Flower Pot Beach In Pointe-a-Pierre

A man drowned while bathing at Flower Pot Beach in Pointe-a-Pierre on Wednesday afternoon (1st October, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 57-year-old Collin Trabulay of Pointe-a-Pierre Road, San Fernando. According to reports, Trabulay was at the beach with his cousins when he went into the water, around 1:00 PM. While bathing, however, he got into difficulty and cried out for help. His relatives responded and were able to pull him out of the wate4 and place him on shore. Efforts were made to resuscitate him, but he remained unresponsive.  Emergency responders were alerted and Trabulay was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital where he died while being treated.
