Floating BODY of 45-Year-Old Man Recovered From Waters Off Tobago
The body of a man was recovered from the waters off Pigeon Point Beach in Tobago this afternoon (Sunday 23rd August, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Ravi Seelochan. According to reports, passengers aboard several reef tour boats spotted a body floating near the Nylon Pool, around 12:00 PM, and alerted lifeguards at Pigeon Point. Lifeguards responded and were able to bring the body ashore before notifying the Police. The man was later formally identified as Ravi Seelochan by his brother, Sunil Seelochan. Moments before the tragedy unfolded, Ravi was recorded by someone on video, while sitting on the shore: The body was subsequently ordered removed to the Scarborough Mortuary, pending a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
