T&TEC: Traffic Interruption Along Uriah Butler Highway — Bamboo Village

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) will be conducting overhead line maintenance in the Bamboo Village area , which will necessitate the interruption of the normal flow of traffic. These works are scheduled to take place between 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Friday (5th June, 2026) and 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday (7th June, 2026), along the Uriah Butler Highway, between the Bamboo Village Overpass and the Caroni River. Vehicular traffic along the Uriah Butler Highway, Northbound lane (the Westernmost lane), will be affected. The Commission says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these traffic interruptions. Please be guided accordingly.

T&TEC: Traffic Interruption — Northbound Lane of Saddle Road, Maraval

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising motorists that it will be conducting emergency underground work today (Wednesday 3rd June, 2026) in the vicinity of Republic Bank, Ellerslie Plaza, Maraval. The work is necessary to repair a fault on an underground high voltage cable and, as a result, there will be an interruption in the flow of traffic on the Northbound lane of Saddle Road until 8:00 PM. Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and to follow the instructions of the Police Officers on-site. The Commission apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these repair works. Traffic Disruption On Tuesday Along Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, After Tarouba Ramp — Northbound

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the public of a temporary traffic disruption along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, affecting the Northbound far-left lane and shoulder, after the Tarouba Ramp, on Tuesday (26th May, 2026). This temporary disruption has become necessary to facilitate repair works to a roadway depression. These works are scheduled to take place between the hours of 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM (weather permitting). In light of the above, motorists are advised to: Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs, barriers and traffic management measures in place. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising motorists that it will be conducting overhead line maintenance along the Uriah Butler Highway, Caroni, which will necessitate the interruption of the normal flow of traffic between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday (24th May, 2026). During this time, vehicular traffic along the Uriah Butler Highway, both Southbound and Northbound lanes, (South of the Caroni River, in the vicinity of the Bamboo 132/66 kV Substation) will be intermittently affected. Traffic Disruption: Desilting Works Along Couva Main Road

This closure is necessary to facilitate the emergency replacement of a failed cylinder culvert, along with associated roadworks. The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the public of a temporary traffic disruption along the Southern Main Road, between the 74.1 Km and 74.2 Km marks, in the vicinity of Point D'Or Junction, La Brea. This disruption is necessary to facilitate road rehabilitation works, which are scheduled to commence on Thursday (30th April, 2026), between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. In light of the above, motorists are advised to: Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers. Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag personnel on-site to facilitate the safe and orderly flow of traffic. TTPS Urges Motorists To Adjust Schedules For School Re-Opening On Monday

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is reminding the public that according to the Ministry of Education, the re-opening of schools is scheduled for Monday (13th April, 2026). In a Media Release today (Sunday 12th April, 2026), the TTPS said, “As such, the TTPS wishes to remind motorists to re-adjust schedules to factor in increased traffic on the roadways as well as be extra-vigilant for school children crossing roadways and stay alert for children entering and exiting from vehicles.” Senior Superintendent of the Traffic & Highway Patrol Branch, Lincoln Daly, is warning drivers who are in a hurry and may think to “take a chance” on the shoulder that his Officers will be out in full force to help ensure persons have a safe journey across the Highway network. The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising of a partial road closure on Fondes Amandes Road, St. Ann’s , for urgent sewer main works, as follows: DATE: Monday 23rd March, 2026 to Tuesday 31st March, 2026. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that the supply of electricity will be interrupted along Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain, between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday (19th February, 2026) , in order to upgrade and maintain the overhead line system in these areas. The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the general public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption on the NP Overpass on Monday (9th February, 2026), in order to facilitate spot patching works on the carriageway. Hours of Works: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM The works will require partial lane restrictions and traffic control measures in the vicinity of the overpass. Fallen Tree Alert — North Coast Road (Maracas)

The San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation - Disaster Management Unit (SJLRC DMU) said at 1:05 PM this afternoon (Tuesday 25th November, 2025), that it received a confirmed report of a fallen tree along the North Coast Road that took down power lines and is currently blocking the roadway, approximately five (5) minutes after the Pillars, heading to Maracas Bay.  The SJLRC DMU said the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) is on-site and requested support. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has been notified and is responding. SJLRC DMU saw operators are currently mobilizing to the scene. Motorists are urged to exercise caution.
