T&TEC: Electricity And Traffic Disruption Along Wrightson Road On Thursday

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that the supply of electricity will be interrupted along Wrightson Road, Port-of-Spain, between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Thursday (19th February, 2026) , in order to upgrade and maintain the overhead line system in these areas. Affected areas are as follows:  Along Wrightson Road between the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Station and Auto Works Limited, including Kaiso Blues Café, SWWTU Hall, Flament Street and all associated side streets. The Commission notes that this work will necessitate a traffic interruption for vehicular and pedestrian traffic along Wrightson Road's Westbound carriageway, between Dock Road and SWWTU Hall, between 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow the guidance of the Police Officers on duty. The Commission says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by this interruption. Please be guided accordingly.

Alert: Temporary Traffic Disruption On NP Overpass On Monday

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the general public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption on the NP Overpass on Monday (9th February, 2026), in order to facilitate spot patching works on the carriageway. Hours of Works: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM The works will require partial lane restrictions and traffic control measures in the vicinity of the overpass. Considering the above, motorists are asked to comply with the following: Proceed with caution and obey all signage, barriers, and traffic control personnel on-site. Reduce speed when approaching the work zone. Anticipate minor delays and plan travel accordingly. Be mindful of heavy equipment and work crews operating in the area. Motorists are encouraged, where possible, to consider alternate routes during the scheduled hours to minimize travel disruption. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising members of the public that it will be conducting overhead line works in the Port-of-Spain area on Friday (30th January, 2026), which will necessitate the interruption of the normal flow of traffic. The works will be conducted along the Westbound lane of Wrightson Road, between Dock Road and SWWTU Hall, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow the guidance of the Police Officers on duty. The Commission says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by this traffic interruption. The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising motorists and members of the general public of traffic restrictions along Malabar Extension Road (between Gloria Mc Clean and Balsam Street), Arima. This is in order to facilitate sewer pipeline replacement works on the following days and times: From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Monday 26th January, 2026. From 8:00 AM on Tuesday 27th January to 8:00 PM on Wednesday 28th January, 2026. Fallen Tree Alert — North Coast Road (Maracas)

The San Juan/Laventille Regional Corporation - Disaster Management Unit (SJLRC DMU) said at 1:05 PM this afternoon (Tuesday 25th November, 2025), that it received a confirmed report of a fallen tree along the North Coast Road that took down power lines and is currently blocking the roadway, approximately five (5) minutes after the Pillars, heading to Maracas Bay.  The SJLRC DMU said the Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service (TTFS) is on-site and requested support. The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has been notified and is responding. SJLRC DMU saw operators are currently mobilizing to the scene. Motorists are urged to exercise caution. WASA: Supply And Traffic Disruption — Diego Martin

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers in parts of Diego Martin, who are currently without a water supply, that this is due to a leaking 21-inch diameter pipeline at the corner of the Diego Martin Main Road and Wendy Fitzwilliam Boulevard. Emergency repairs currently underway are expected to be completed by 6:00 PM today (Thursday 16th October, 2025). Affected areas are as follows: Diego Martin Main Road, inclusive of Crystal Stream, La Puerta Avenue, La Estancia, Mercer Road, Mary Avenue, Rich Plain Road, Covigne Road and environs, Morne Coco Road, inclusive of Four Roads, Alyce Glen, Simeon Road, Hibiscus Drive and environs. T&TEC: Traffic Disruption Across Uriah Butler Highway On Sunday

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) said it will be conducting overhead line maintenance works  on the Bamboo - Charlieville  66 kV Circuit, across the Uriah Butler Highway on Sunday (21st September, 2025), which will necessitate the interruption of the normal flow of traffic. The works will be conducted between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Bamboo Substation on the Western side of the  Uriah Butler Highway , to the Eastern side (across the Northbound and Southbound carriageways). T&TEC notes that the traffic will be stopped for several periods, not exceeding fifteen (15) minutes, to facilitate the works across the Highway. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow the guidance of the Police Officers on duty. The Commission said it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by this traffic interruption.

Traffic Control Plan To Take Effect From Monday For Schools Within Skinner Park Area

The San Fernando City Corporation is advising parents, students, and staff of San Fernando Central Secondary School, as well as San Fernando ASJA Primary School, ASJA Girls' College, and ASJA Boys' College , that a Traffic Control Plan will be in effect to ensure the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians in the vicinity of Skinner Park. This plan will be in effect from Monday (15th September, 2025), during the hours of 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Traffic Route 1 - San Fernando Central Secondary School  Entry Point: Vehicles will enter the SAPA Compound via the Todd Street entrance.  Drop-Off/Pick-Up Zone: A clearly marked zone inside SAPA will be designated for parents to safely drop off or collect their children.  Exit Point: Vehicles will proceed through SAPA and exit via the back gate onto Rienzi Kirton Highway, avoiding congestion along Todd Street and Park Street.
