T&TEC: Traffic Interruption On Sunday Along Uriah Butler Highway (Bamboo Village #1)

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising that it will be conducting overhead line maintenance in the Caroni area (Bamboo Village #1) on Sunday (9th August, 2026), which will necessitate the interruption of the normal flow of traffic.

These works will be conducted along the Uriah Butler Highway, between the Bamboo Village Overpass and the Caroni River, between 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday, in order to facilitate the upgrade of overhead line infrastructure.

During this time, vehicular traffic along the Uriah Butler Highway, both Southbound and Northbound lanes, will be intermittently affected.

The Commission said it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by this traffic interruption.
