EDITOR’S NOTE: The body of this article has been updated with new details. A man is dead following a stabbing incident in Valencia early this morning (Sunday 1st November, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Fenwick Gibson of Mc David Street, Lopinot. According to reports, Gibson and his cousin, Este Huggins, visited a gas station in Valencia to refuel their vehicle, when Gibson reportedly became involved in an argument with a group of men, around 5:48 AM. During the confrontation, Gibson was allegedly beaten and stabbed in the neck. He was subsequently placed in a white open-tray van and transported to the Arima Hospital for emergency medical treatment. However, he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. His body was identified by his cousin. Police were alerted and Officers from the Valencia Police Post, including Acting Corporal Ramkhalawan and PC Francis, responded to the scene. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a 35-year-old man is in Police custody following the fatal stabbing of a man at Busy Corner, Southern Main Road, Chaguanas , on Saturday morning (10th October, 2026). The deceased has not yet been identified. The TTPS said around 7:30 AM, Officers on mobile patrol along Old Endeavour Road received a report from a pedestrian about a man lying motionless on the roadway at Busy Corner. The Officers responded and, upon arrival in the vicinity of Busy Corner Drugs, observed the body of a male lying face down on the roadway with apparent injuries. A District Medical Officer (DMO) subsequently visited the scene, examined the body and pronounced the man dead. While at the scene, Officers received information from pedestrians, identifying a man who was reportedly seen running away from the area. UPDATE:  Police apprehended the suspect , identified as a 35-year-old labourer of Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas, following a brief chase. Officers of the Central Police Division were on mobile patrol along Old Endeavour Road, around 7:30 AM, when they were alerted by a pedestrian that a man was lying motionless in a pool of blood on the roadway. Upon arrival at the scene, near Busy Corner Drugs, they found the body of a man lying face down on the road, wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans with a red backpack on his back. He was described as a man of African descent with a slim build and brown in complexion. Pedestrians then pointed out the suspect running in a Southerly direction along Busy Corner. Officers pursued the man, who was clad in a shirt and long pants that were drenched in blood. UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Joseph Narcise, who lived in the Enterprise community. According to Narcise’s 18-year-old sister, Davina Buchoon, both men had been involved in a longstanding feud which began after Narcise moved to Enterprise from Arima, along with his common-law wife and her five (5) children. Buchoon said tensions between Narcise and the 40-year-old man had persisted for months, with frequent exchanges of words. She alleged the dispute stemmed from a disagreement while Narcise was working for the older man, whom she identified. Buchoon said following the stabbing, Narcise was still alive and gasping for breath while lying in her yard. Police subsequently took him to a health centre, where he was pronounced dead. Reports state that the 40-year-old man was arrested as investigations continue into the incident. A man is dead following a stabbing incident in Morvant on Wednesday afternoon (30th September, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 68-year-old Kerwin Mark of Angelina Terrace, Morvant. He was allegedly stabbed to death by his son. According to reports, Mark was attacked and stabbed at his home during a heated argument with his son, shortly after 12:30 PM. The suspect, who is said to be a patient at the Wellness Centre in Barataria, was seen leaving the residence shortly before the violent incident occurred. Residents were alerted about the stabbing by a relative and assisted in removing Mark from the house. He was placed into a motor vehicle and rushed to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital (POSGH) for emergency medical treatment. Police were also notified and responded. Police have located the man seen being stabbed in a video circulating on social media. He was reportedly found at a Hospital and is receiving medical treatment. The injured man, who is listed in stable condition, has been identified as Keon Brown of Second Street, Barataria. He was reported missing after being seen in cellphone footage of a stabbing incident on Friday night (25th September, 2026) at the corner of Sixth Avenue, Malick, Barataria. The suspect has not yet been identified or arrested. Brown’s relatives reported him missing after he returned home following the incident, but was not seen or heard from since. A man and woman were found dead at an apartment in Penal last night (Friday 25th September, 2026) in an apparent murder-suicide. The deceased couple have been identified as 26-year-old Stephon Kandon and 23-year-old hairdresser, Giselle Ougrah, aka “Precious.” Ougrah is said to have operated at a popular barbershop on Market Street, Princes Town. According to reports, Ougrah was last seen by family members when she left to visit Kandon at his apartment, located along Sundarsingh Trace, Penal, on Wednesday (23rd September, 2026). The couple was reportedly in a relationship for approximately one (1) year. Ougrah was later discovered deceased in the apartment with multiple stab wounds by her brother-in-law, following several failed attempts to contact her by phone. Kandon allegedly committed the act and then took his life by hanging himself with a length of rope he cut from a nearby hammock. Police were alerted and responded to the scene. A man is dead and two (2) others hospitalized following a stabbing incident outside a bar in Mayaro early Saturday morning (19th September, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Romario Gonzales, also known as “Buky,” of Ortoire Village, Mayaro. According to reports, Gonzales and two (2) other men were allegedly involved in an altercation near Ellos Bar, during which several persons were stabbed, around 12:20 AM. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. The three (3) injured men were conveyed to the Mayaro District Health Facility, where Gonzales succumbed to his injuries. The other two (2) men were subsequently transferred to the Sangre Grande Hospital for further medical treatment. A man is dead following a stabbing incident in Malabar early this morning (Saturday 5th September, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old car salesman, Delano Bedeshi, also known as “Lano,” of Arjoon Avenue, Malabar. According to reports, Bedeshi was seated inside his white Nissan Tiida while speaking with an acquaintance outside a residence in the Malabar area, shortly after 1:00 AM. Moments later, however, another man approached the vehicle and became involved in a verbal dispute with Bedeshi. The situation allegedly escalated quickly into a physical altercation outside the vehicle, during which Bedeshi was stabbed several times about the body. Despite his injuries, Bedeshi managed to get back into his vehicle and began driving towards the Arima Hospital. The acquaintance, who was also in the vehicle, reportedly took over driving while on the way to the medical facility. A Chaguanas man and his 18-year-old girlfriend have appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of 25-year-old Shayanna Ruiz , which occurred on 29th July, 2026, in the Central Division. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), 25-year-old Darian Phillip of Edinburgh 500 and 18-year-old Daniella Connell of Crown Trace, Enterprise, were charged with the offence when they appeared before Master Tracey Vidale, in the North Criminal Court B, on Thursday 6th August, 2026. The matter was adjourned to 8th October, 2026 for a Status Hearing, with a Sufficiency Hearing scheduled for 13th April, 2027.  Ruiz, of Diego Martin, had reportedly proceeded to the home of a man she knows, on 29th July, 2026. UPDATE (12/07/26): Police have launched a manhunt for the 23-year-old boyfriend of Kelimar Del Jesus Duran Morillo, following her fatal stabbing early Saturday morning. The incident unfolded just hours after Morillo and her on-and-off boyfriend of three (3) years attended his birthday celebration at his parents’ home in Endeavour, Chaguanas. Police believe Morillo left the gathering at around 1:50 AM on Saturday morning to return to her apartment because she was scheduled to work later that morning. Her 23-year-old boyfriend arrived at the apartment just over an hour later. Investigators said the couple became involved in a heated argument, during which neighbours heard Morillo screaming, “Don't kill me,” before crying out, “Help me!” Alarmed residents rushed to the apartment and discovered Morillo bleeding inside her room. Jerreme Sambucharan and Darrion Thomas, also known as “Gully,” were jointly charged with attempted murder on Tuesday (7th July, 2026), at the Princes Town Court, following an investigation conducted by Officers of the Barrackpore Police Station. A Wallerfield man has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Calvin James, which occurred on Sunday 27th June, 2026. A man is dead following a stabbing incident during an altercation in Princes Town on Sunday afternoon (5th July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Security Officer, Stephen Jack, of Extension 3, Lallo Trace, Chin Chin, Cunupia. According to reports, Jack drove to Charlotte Street, Princes Town, shortly after 3:20 PM, where he parked his silver Nissan AD wagon and began asking a resident about a woman who lived in the area. While speaking with the resident, Jack reportedly spotted the woman walking out of Charlotte Street, accompanied by another man, and approached the pair.  An argument ensued, during which the man repeatedly told Jack to leave. A woman is dead following a brutal stabbing incident in Mt. St. George, Tobago, this morning (Wednesday 1st July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Neisha Roberts of #1 Village, Mt. St. George, Tobago. She was a Deaconess of the Mt. St. George Seventh-Day Adventist Church and worked at the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (MTS). According to reports, a Form 3 student was stabbed during an altercation involving another student and several others outside the compound of Cedros Secondary School earlier today (Wednesday 1st July, 2026). The violent incident is said to have occurred just outside the school’s premises when the victim was allegedly attacked by another student who was accompanied by a group of friends. The student sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to the Hospital by Police for emergency medical treatment.  The extent of the student’s injuries is unknown at this time. A businessman is dead following a stabbing incident at his girlfriend’s apartment in Woodford Gardens, Chaguanas, last night (Sunday 28th June, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Gregory Reece of Lalla Road, Chaguanas. He was the Manager of Trinidad and Tobago Dental. According to reports, Reece went to the 25-year-old woman’s apartment, located at the corner of Oak Avenue and Coconut Drive, Woodford Gardens, sometime before 7:00 PM. Whilst there, he reportedly got into an argument with her, which quickly escalated. Reece was stabbed in his chest during the altercation. Upon hearing the loud commotion, residents contacted the Police and an Ambulance. Officers from the Chaguanas CID were on patrol nearby at the time and responded. A man charged with attempted murder and possession of ammunition has been granted bail following his appearance before the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court on Monday (22nd June, 2026). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the accused, Ryan Sambucharan, was granted bail in the sum of $200,000 with surety or $20,000 cash alternative for the offence of attempted murder, and $100,000 with surety or $10,000 cash alternative for the offence of possession of ammunition. He was also ordered to comply with strict bail conditions, including residing at Lengua Village, Lucy Trace, Barrackpore, reporting to the Princes Town Police Station once per month between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and having no direct or indirect contact with the complainant. A man is dead following a Police-involved shooting incident in San Juan on Monday evening (22nd June, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Abraham Hackette, who was mentally ill and said to be homeless, but had a last known address at Farroe Terrace, San Juan. He was allegedly killed by Police after attacking and stabbing an Officer. According to reports, Police Constable David Noel and other Officers of the San Juan Police Station responded to a call of domestic disturbance at the corners of Concord and Saddle Road, San Juan, around 6:40 PM. Residents at the location were being harassed by the outpatients of the St. Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital and called the Police. When the Officers arrived, they met Hackette who was armed with a knife.
