UPDATE (12/07/26): Police have launched a manhunt for the 23-year-old boyfriend of Kelimar Del Jesus Duran Morillo, following her fatal stabbing early Saturday morning. The incident unfolded just hours after Morillo and her on-and-off boyfriend of three (3) years attended his birthday celebration at his parents’ home in Endeavour, Chaguanas. Police believe Morillo left the gathering at around 1:50 AM on Saturday morning to return to her apartment because she was scheduled to work later that morning. Her 23-year-old boyfriend arrived at the apartment just over an hour later. Investigators said the couple became involved in a heated argument, during which neighbours heard Morillo screaming, “Don't kill me,” before crying out, “Help me!” Alarmed residents rushed to the apartment and discovered Morillo bleeding inside her room. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), two (2) men have been charged with attempted murder following investigations into a violent chopping incident which occurred in Barrackpore on Monday 22nd June, 2026. Jerreme Sambucharan and Darrion Thomas, also known as “Gully,” were jointly charged with attempted murder on Tuesday (7th July, 2026), at the Princes Town Court, following an investigation conducted by Officers of the Barrackpore Police Station. The charges stem from an incident in which a 30-year-old contractor of Mansingh Trace, Lengua, Barrackpore, was allegedly attacked inside his home by two (2) armed assailants at approximately 12:10 AM on Monday 22nd June, 2026. A Wallerfield man has appeared before a Master of the High Court, charged with the murder of Calvin James, which occurred on Sunday 27th June, 2026. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Emerald Guy, 34, a Security Guard, was charged with the offence when he appeared before Master Lisa Singh-Phillip, on Friday 3rd July, 2026.  The Sufficiency Hearing date was set for 13th January, 2027, while two (2) Status Hearing dates are set for 28th September, 2026 and 30th October, 2026. A man is dead following a stabbing incident during an altercation in Princes Town on Sunday afternoon (5th July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Security Officer, Stephen Jack, of Extension 3, Lallo Trace, Chin Chin, Cunupia. According to reports, Jack drove to Charlotte Street, Princes Town, shortly after 3:20 PM, where he parked his silver Nissan AD wagon and began asking a resident about a woman who lived in the area. While speaking with the resident, Jack reportedly spotted the woman walking out of Charlotte Street, accompanied by another man, and approached the pair.  An argument ensued, during which the man repeatedly told Jack to leave. However, the dispute quickly escalated into a physical confrontation and Jack was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen, chest, thigh and back. A woman is dead following a brutal stabbing incident in Mt. St. George, Tobago, this morning (Wednesday 1st July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Neisha Roberts of #1 Village, Mt. St. George, Tobago. She was a Deaconess of the Mt. St. George Seventh-Day Adventist Church and worked at the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited (MTS). The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said Officers of the Tobago Division are investigating the murder, following the discovery of her body at her home this morning. According to the TTPS, around 7:24 AM, Officers responded to a report of a body lying motionless in a pool of blood at the victim’s residence. According to reports, a Form 3 student was stabbed during an altercation involving another student and several others outside the compound of Cedros Secondary School earlier today (Wednesday 1st July, 2026). The violent incident is said to have occurred just outside the school’s premises when the victim was allegedly attacked by another student who was accompanied by a group of friends. The student sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to the Hospital by Police for emergency medical treatment.  The extent of the student’s injuries is unknown at this time. A businessman is dead following a stabbing incident at his girlfriend’s apartment in Woodford Gardens, Chaguanas, last night (Sunday 28th June, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 46-year-old Gregory Reece of Lalla Road, Chaguanas. He was the Manager of Trinidad and Tobago Dental. According to reports, Reece went to the 25-year-old woman’s apartment, located at the corner of Oak Avenue and Coconut Drive, Woodford Gardens, sometime before 7:00 PM. Whilst there, he reportedly got into an argument with her, which quickly escalated. Reece was stabbed in his chest during the altercation. Upon hearing the loud commotion, residents contacted the Police and an Ambulance. Officers from the Chaguanas CID were on patrol nearby at the time and responded. A man charged with attempted murder and possession of ammunition has been granted bail following his appearance before the Princes Town Magistrates’ Court on Monday (22nd June, 2026). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the accused, Ryan Sambucharan, was granted bail in the sum of $200,000 with surety or $20,000 cash alternative for the offence of attempted murder, and $100,000 with surety or $10,000 cash alternative for the offence of possession of ammunition. He was also ordered to comply with strict bail conditions, including residing at Lengua Village, Lucy Trace, Barrackpore, reporting to the Princes Town Police Station once per month between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and having no direct or indirect contact with the complainant. A man is dead following a Police-involved shooting incident in San Juan on Monday evening (22nd June, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Abraham Hackette, who was mentally ill and said to be homeless, but had a last known address at Farroe Terrace, San Juan. He was allegedly killed by Police after attacking and stabbing an Officer. According to reports, Police Constable David Noel and other Officers of the San Juan Police Station responded to a call of domestic disturbance at the corners of Concord and Saddle Road, San Juan, around 6:40 PM. Residents at the location were being harassed by the outpatients of the St. Ann’s Psychiatric Hospital and called the Police. When the Officers arrived, they met Hackette who was armed with a knife. The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Sterling Francois of #10C Scallion Circular, Trestrail Development, located behind the Clever Heights Development in Arima. His body was found several hours later. Francois owned and operated several businesses, including Kyva General Contractors Limited, Langley’s, an auto rental company, and other small enterprises. A Venezuelan woman is dead following a brutal stabbing incident along the Montrose Main Road in Chaguanas on Saturday morning (13th June, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Mariannys Jiménez, also known as “Sophia,” of Kelly Village, Caroni. She was allegedly ambushed and killed by her ex-boyfriend while walking to work. According to reports, Jiménez had spent the previous night with a close friend and co-worker before the pair set out for work, shortly after 9:00 AM. As they walked along the Montrose Main Road towards their workplace, a man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a cap reportedly approached the women and launched a vicious attack on Jiménez. A man is dead following a stabbing incident at a home in Fyzabad on Sunday (31st May, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Micah Joseph of John Jules Street, Fyzabad. He was a father of two (2) young children. According to relatives, Joseph went to the home of his children’s mother, located at Easy Street, Fyzabad, to drop off their two (2) infant children, when an altercation occurred. During the incident, he was allegedly stabbed and sustained fatal injuries. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the residence. A man is dead following a stabbing incident near a bar in Tacarigua last night (Sunday 24th May, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 49-year-old Nigel Foster of Thavenot Street, Tacarigua. According to reports, Foster was liming near “Tip C Corner Bar” on Huggins Street, when he became involved in an argument with a man identified as 49-year-old Darryl Harding of Nayack Street, Tacarigua, around 6:30 PM. The argument soon escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Foster once in the upper leg. Foster ran from the scene before collapsing near the corner of Deosaran Street, while the attacker fled. A man is dead following a stabbing incident in Tunapuna last night (Thursday 30th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Alex Samaroo of Balgobin Street, off Centenary Street, Tunapuna. According to reports, Samaroo was liming with friends on Centenary Street when he got into an argument with someone, around 9:45 PM. The suspect reportedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Samaroo twice in the chest before running away. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified.  Passers-by took Samaroo to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope, where he was declared dead at 11:09 PM. A man is dead following a stabbing incident at a mini-mart in San Juan this afternoon (Sunday 26th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 50-year-old Kevin Samuel of Saddle Road, San Juan. According to reports, Samuel was stabbed during an altercation at Jugan’s Mini-Mart, located along Prizgar and Saddle Road, San Juan. He sustained multiple stab wounds during the incident. A man is dead and three (3) others wounded following a stabbing incident outside a bar along 6th Avenue, Barataria, early this morning (Saturday 4th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 37-year-old Ryan Morris, also known as “Dole,” of Upper 8th Avenue, Barataria. According to reports, a fight broke out among a group of men who were gathered along the roadway, near Nari’s Bar, shortly after 3:15 AM. During the confrontation, several individuals were attacked with broken bottles and Morris was stabbed multiple times. Three (3) other men were also wounded.   Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. Two (2) men were wounded during a shooting incident along Ariapita Avenue, Port-of-Spain, early Carnival Monday (16th February, 2026). The victims have been identified as 20-year-old Israel Payson and 24-year-old Jubriel Worrel, both of Laventille. According to reports, Payson and Worrel were walking along Damien Street in the vicinity of Mucurapo Road, when they heard two (2) loud explosions, around 4:15 AM. Payson was shot in the left leg, while Worrel sustained a gunshot wound to the right foot.  Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. A man is dead and another injured following a stabbing incident in Woodbrook during J’ouvert celebrations early this morning (Monday 16th February, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 19-year-old Jayden Rouff of Laventille. According to reports, Rouff was stabbed at the corner of De Verteuil and Warren Streets in Woodbrook, during what investigators believe was an altercation amid the heavy Carnival crowds.  Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. Rouff was rushed to Hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Another individual was injured during the same incident and remains under medical care.
