28-Year-Old Venezuelan Woman Stabbed To Death On Montrose Main Road; Manhunt On For Suspect
A Venezuelan woman is dead following a brutal stabbing incident along the Montrose Main Road in Chaguanas on Saturday morning (13th June, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Mariannys Jiménez, also known as “Sophia,” of Kelly Village, Caroni. She was allegedly ambushed and killed by her ex-boyfriend while walking to work. According to reports, Jiménez had spent the previous night with a close friend and co-worker before the pair set out for work, shortly after 9:00 AM. As they walked along the Montrose Main Road towards their workplace, a man dressed in dark clothing and wearing a cap reportedly approached the women and launched a vicious attack on Jiménez. The suspect allegedly stabbed the woman multiple times in broad daylight, sending terrified onlookers scrambling for safety on the main road.
