The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers of planned water interruption due to maintenance works at the Caroni Water Treatment Plant Sub Station, between 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Monday (27th April, 2026). These works involve the replacement of transformers by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC). UPDATE: T&TEC said at 8:41 PM, over 60% of the street lights on the Elmina Clarke-Allen Highway were switched on, temporarily powered via mobile substations. Another substation will be energized shortly to power the additional lights. Repair work will then continue, to supply the lights from the grid.
