36-Year-Old Man Missing After Reporting Extortion To Police — Last Seen On Wednesday

UPDATE (27/05/26): Taxi driver Simon Joash Bhagwath and his vehicle remain missing after he was last seen exactly seven (7) days ago. His father, Percy Bhagwath and mother, Juliana Lal-Bhagwath, are appealing for anyone with information to contact the Police so that their son can return home safely.  The family last heard from him on 20th May, 2026, while he was at the Gasparillo Police Station. Leader of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), Captain Vallence Rambharat, says his group are mentally and physically drained after eight (8) exhausting days in search of missing 2-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza in Tobago. The child’s body has not been found as of today (Friday 22nd May, 2026), even after his stepfather, Shannon Miller, allegedly confessed on Wednesday (20th May, 2026) to strangling little Angelo and dumping his body in the sea . Baby Angelo was reported missing from his home in Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, on 11th May, 2026, triggering frantic searches and a national outcry for his safe return. The HSRT returned to Trinidad on the fast ferry on Thursday morning (21st May, 2026). The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is advising members of the public that investigations into the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias of Goodwood, Tobago, have taken a critical turn. This follows reports that the child’s stepfather, Shannon Miller, allegedly confessed this morning (Wednesday 20th May, 2026) to strangling baby Angelo and then disposing his body in the sea, near the family’s home. In a Media Release this afternoon, the TTPS said Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Tobago Division, Rishi Singh, has indicated that investigators are continuing to work diligently and professionally toward achieving a clear and definitive outcome in this matter. Breaking: Stepfather Reportedly Confesses To Murder of 2-Year-Old Angelo Tobias; Search On For Body

UPDATE 6: The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has advised that murder charges be laid against 24-year-old Shannon Miller, the stepfather of missing 2-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza, while the child’s mother, Khalifa Tobias, has been released without charge as investigations continue. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), an audience was held with a Specialist Advisor attached to the Office of the DPP to review the circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance. Following a thorough review of the evidence gathered, legal advice was provided today (Saturday 23rd May, 2026) that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with criminal charges. As a result, Miller, of Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, has been formally charged with the offence of murder. The DPP also advised that Angelo’s mother be released from Police custody without charge. A number of persons of interest who were previously detained were released today, but key suspects remain in custody at this time. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is advising that investigations continue into the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias of Goodwood, Tobago , who was reported missing on the night of Monday 11th May, 2026. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is confirming that upon receipt of a report regarding the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias of Goodwood, Tobago , on Monday 11th May, 2026, Officers immediately initiated a co-ordinated and comprehensive response. In a Media Release this morning (Sunday 17th May, 2026), the TTPS said, “A thorough search operation was promptly undertaken in and around the vicinity of the child’s residence, involving multiple agencies. UPDATE 3:  The biological father of missing Angelo, 22-year-old Antonio Plaza, travelled to Tobago today (Friday 15th May, 2026) with his mother, Meena Plaza, seeking answers as to the whereabouts of little Angelo. Accompanied by Crime Watch host Ian Alleyne, they went directly to Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, the same area where Angelo was last seen on Monday night (11th May, 2026), hoping to speak with the child’s mother and get answers surrounding the baffling case. However, upon arriving, they were reportedly prevented from entering the immediate area as Police maintained a cordon around the property, while crime scene investigators continued processing the scene. Missing: 26-Year-Old Arima Woman — Last Seen On Tuesday

Police are searching for a woman who disappeared after leaving her home in Arima for a routine morning walk on Tuesday (28th April, 2026), prompting growing concern among relatives for her safety, as they say it is out of character for her to remain out of contact. She has been identified as 26-year-old Shania Waldron. Her mother, Sherma, said Waldron is diagnosed with schizophrenia, stressing that her vulnerability makes it critical that she is located as soon as possible. Since her disappearance on Tuesday, family members have been searching nearby areas and appealing to the public for help, but efforts have so far yielded no results. Missing: Cunupia Teenagers — Last Seen On Tuesday

UPDATE: According to reports, the siblings were last seen around 8:30 AM on Tuesday (31st March, 2026), and were reported missing later that afternoon. Their mother told Police she discovered the teens missing from their rooms and later received a message from her daughter, around 5:00 PM, stating she needed time away and could not deal with ongoing rumors. CCTV footage reportedly shows the siblings leaving their home and being picked up by an unknown vehicle. Further enquiries led relatives to a female friend’s home in Carapo, Arima, where it was reported that she had also left her residence earlier that morning.
