The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is seeking the urgent assistance of the public to find a missing mother and her infant son. In a Media Release on Wednesday (9th September, 2026), the TTPS said 32-year-old Valani Hema Baboolal and 4-year-old Ajay Lutchmansingh, of Chaguanas, were last seen on 24th August, 2026, and were reported missing at the Chaguanas Police Station on Tuesday (8th September, 2026). Valani is of East Indian descent, approximately five (5) feet tall, slim built and light brown in complexion. She was last seen wearing a red blouse and a pair of blue jeans. Missing 31-Year-Old Rio Claro Man Found Alive — Claims He Was Kidnapped, Starved For Days

Reports state that a missing man was found alive in Rio Claro this morning (Friday 4th September, 2026) after he was last seen several days ago, on 30th August, 2026. The man alleges that he was being held against his will and was not fed. He has been identified as 31-year-old Samson Mahadeo of Rio Claro. Mahadeo was found by members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, in the Rio Claro district at 8:00 AM this morning. According to the HSRT, “He said he was being held against his will and was not fed. Our teammates Vishnu Ramdial, Vinod and Celine Ramnath ensured that he ate and then took him to the Rio Claro Police Station. We thank our teammates who launched a search for him at 6:00 AM this morning in the Rio Claro area. GOD IS GREAT.” Investigations are continuing into Mahadeo’s kidnapping claim and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. More on this as it becomes available.

Missing 14-Year-Old Girl Found During Mon Repos House Search Operation

A missing 14-year-old girl was safely located during a co-ordinated house search operation conducted in the Mon Repos Police District on Saturday (1st August, 2026). According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the operation, code-named “Operation Resolute Shield,” was conducted between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM as part of ongoing crime reduction initiatives and efforts to enhance public safety within the district. The exercise was co-ordinated by Senior Superintendent Hospedales, Superintendents Bertie and Bridglal, Assistant Superintendents Ramsaran, Pacheco, Chulhan and Ragbir, Inspector Boodoo, and Sergeant Martin, with direct supervision provided by Acting Sergeant Pitt and Corporal Modeste, along with Officers of the Mon Repos Police Station. During the operation, Officers searched two (2) residences, resulting in the arrest of a man in connection with an Affiliation Warrant. Missing 60-Year-Old Woman Found ‘Barely Alive’ In Tamana Forest

A missing woman was found barely alive in Tamana this afternoon (Monday 20th July, 2026), after spending approximately five (5) days in the forest. She has been identified as 60-year-old Phillis Beharry of Tamana. She was last seen on Thursday (16th July, 2026). According to the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, Beharry was found barely alive, curled up beneath a tree, by gardeners from Tamana at 12:15 PM. She was found about forty-five (45) minutes driving-time from her home and about thirty (30) minutes walking-time into the forest. Beharry was found severely dehydrated and unable to walk. The HSRT said she is currently warded at the Sangre Grande Hospital. “Miracles do happen. GOD IS GREAT.” Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance. 31-Year-Old Missing Woman Found Alive In Mayaro — Taken For Medical Treatment

UPDATE (06/07/26): Shahnaaz Ali has told Police that she was kidnapped, drugged and tortured before being left abandoned near a beach in Mayaro. Police have since launched an investigation into the alleged kidnapping as enquiries continue. A woman who was reported missing after failing to return home from work on Friday (3rd July, 2026) has been safely located and taken for medical treatment. She has been identified as 31-year-old Shahnaaz Ali of  #28 Benjamin Street, Diego Martin. According to reports, Ali was reported missing after leaving her new job at a company located along Victoria Avenue, Port-of-Spain, on Friday. She had reportedly only begun working at the company approximately a week earlier, as an Administrative Assistant. Her black-and-white Toyota Yaris Cross (PEK 8148) was also missing. Search Intensifies For Missing 51-Year-Old Businessman; Vehicle Found In Barrackpore

UPDATE (05/08/26):  The skeletal remains discovered in a bushy area in Mon Repos, San Fernando, by the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, last month, on 16th July, 2026, have been positively identified as those of missing Williamsville businessman Kelvin Samaroo. His skull was found approximately ten (10) feet from his decomposing body. A resident of the area first discovered the bottom-jaw of a human earlier that day and contacted the Police. The HSRT subsequently became involved and made the grim discovery later in the afternoon. Following the positive identification of the body, the HSRT said, “On behalf of HSRT, we extend our commiserations to his family, friends and love ones. SLEEP IN ETERNAL PEACE KELVIN. 36-Year-Old Man Missing After Reporting Extortion To Police — Last Seen On Wednesday

UPDATE (27/05/26): Taxi driver Simon Joash Bhagwath and his vehicle remain missing after he was last seen exactly seven (7) days ago. His father, Percy Bhagwath and mother, Juliana Lal-Bhagwath, are appealing for anyone with information to contact the Police so that their son can return home safely.  The family last heard from him on 20th May, 2026, while he was at the Gasparillo Police Station. NO Body Found: Hunters Leave Tobago After 8 Long Days In Search of 2-Year-Old Angelo Tobias

Leader of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), Captain Vallence Rambharat, says his group are mentally and physically drained after eight (8) exhausting days in search of missing 2-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza in Tobago. The child’s body has not been found as of today (Friday 22nd May, 2026), even after his stepfather, Shannon Miller, allegedly confessed on Wednesday (20th May, 2026) to strangling little Angelo and dumping his body in the sea . Baby Angelo was reported missing from his home in Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, on 11th May, 2026, triggering frantic searches and a national outcry for his safe return. The HSRT returned to Trinidad on the fast ferry on Thursday morning (21st May, 2026). TTPS: Investigations Into Disappearance of 2-Year-Old Angelo Tobias Take Critical Turn

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is advising members of the public that investigations into the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias of Goodwood, Tobago, have taken a critical turn. This follows reports that the child’s stepfather, Shannon Miller, allegedly confessed this morning (Wednesday 20th May, 2026) to strangling baby Angelo and then disposing his body in the sea, near the family’s home. In a Media Release this afternoon, the TTPS said Assistant Commissioner of Police of the Tobago Division, Rishi Singh, has indicated that investigators are continuing to work diligently and professionally toward achieving a clear and definitive outcome in this matter.
