Meteorologist Gary Benjamin of the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has provided an update on two (2) approaching Tropical Waves and the likely weather conditions Trinidad and Tobago can expect in the coming days. According to Mr. Benjamin today (Wednesday 3rd June, 2026), the axes of two (2) Tropical Waves being monitored by the Met Office are now to the near-East of Trinidad and Tobago. The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is calling on the national community to support responsible water use, as the North-West region navigates the lingering effects of the 2026 Dry Season. While the Rainy Season was officially declared in May 2026 , the Authority notes that a transition period of up to two (2) months is typical before surface water sources fully stabilize, a reality that affects not only the North-West but also serves as a reminder for the entire country.
