Today’s Weather: Fair, Sunny, Medium Chance For Heavy Showers; 33°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect initially fair and sunny conditions during the morning period today (Sunday 1st November, 2026). By late morning or early afternoon until mid to late afternoon, conditions are likely to become partly cloudy to cloudy in some areas, with a few light to moderate showers. There is a medium chance for an isolated heavy shower to develop with thunderstorm activity. This evening and tonight will be fair over Trinidad and Tobago and partly cloudy just North of Tobago, with a few light to moderate showers.

In the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, gusty winds are to be expected, and street or flash flooding is likely in the vicinity.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 33°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 32°C at Crown Point in Tobago.

Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and near 1m in sheltered areas.

Recommendations for outdoor activities today:

Persons planning to spend time outdoors today should take advantage of the initially sunny conditions during the morning but remain alert for changing weather from late morning through the afternoon, when showers and isolated thunderstorms may develop. Carry an umbrella or raincoat, and avoid exposed areas, tall trees and open spaces if thunder is heard. Be particularly cautious of gusty winds and possible street or flash flooding during heavy showers, and avoid driving or walking through floodwaters. With maximum temperatures reaching 33°C in Trinidad and 32°C in Tobago, stay hydrated, wear lightweight clothing, apply sunscreen and limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Beachgoers and persons participating in marine activities should also exercise caution, as moderate seas are expected, with waves reaching 1.5m to 2m in open waters. Conditions are expected to become generally fair this evening and tonight, although a few showers may linger, particularly just North of Tobago.
