There has been a major breakthrough in the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza , with Police confirming this morning (Wednesday 20th May, 2026) that a male relative, identified as the child’s stepfather, Shannon Miller, has confessed to his murder. Baby Angelo was reported missing since around 7:30 PM on Monday 11th May, 2026. According to reports, Miller was taken briefly by Police Officers this morning to Cambridge Trace, Goodwood, before being whisked away. Police later cordoned off access to the family’s seaside home. 25-Year-Old Man Shot Dead In Car In Arouca, TWO (2) Others Wounded

A man is dead and two (2) others wounded following a shooting incident in Arouca late Thursday night (14th May, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Adrian Meade of Lopinot Housing Development, Arouca. According to reports, Officers from the Arouca CID were alerted to a shooting near Market Street, Arouca, around 11:10 PM, and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they found a white Honda Fit parked partly on the pavement, with multiple bullet holes and shattered glass. Meade was discovered slumped in the front passenger seat, bleeding from the mouth and nose. He showed no signs of life. A short distance away, near Lopinot Drugs, Officers found two (2) other men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is advising that investigations continue into the disappearance of 2-year-old Angelo Tobias of Goodwood, Tobago , who was reported missing on the night of Monday 11th May, 2026. In a Media Release this afternoon (Tuesday 19th May, 2026), the TTPS notes that at this time, seven (7) persons — three (3) females and four (4) males — have been detained and searches conducted at the Mt. St. George dump and Dam Road areas have resulted in nothing of evidential value being found.  Searches continue today in the Pig Farm Road district and personnel of the Cyber Unit have been tasked with analyzing electronic devices seized as part of the investigations. BODY of Nude Man Found At Cocal Estate, Manzanilla — With Head Wounds

The nude body of a man was found by workers at Cocal Estate, Manzanilla, on Monday morning (18th May, 2026). The deceased, who is said to be of mixed descent, has not yet been identified. According to reports, workers were collecting dry coconuts when they discovered the body, around 8:00 AM, and alerted the Estate Manager, who immediately contacted the Manzanilla Police Station. Officers responded and were directed to the scene by workers, where they found the man lying nude on the grass with injuries to his head. The Estate Manager also told Police that he had observed a green Nissan Y11 wagon (PBW 9541) parked along Manzanilla Road on Saturday (16th May, 2026). However, when he returned to the estate on Sunday, the vehicle had been completely burnt. The vehicle was subsequently removed to the Manzanilla Police Station. BODY Found Riddled With Bullets In Cunupia Identified As 35-Year-Old Security Officer

The body of a man who was found with multiple gunshot wounds in Cunupia on Sunday 10th May, 2026 has been identified as 35-year-old Security Officer, Quidell Snaggs, of Marshall Trace, Cunupia. He is said to have accepted a hired taxi job the night before he was found murdered. His white Toyota Aqua (PEE 5593) was stolen during the incident and remains missing. According to reports, Snaggs was discovered lying on the roadway along Nanlal Trace, Ragoonanan Road, Cunupia, around 4:30 AM, suffering from gunshot wounds to the face and abdomen. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. The wounded man was rushed to the Chaguanas District Health Facility in a Police vehicle but was pronounced dead on arrival. Man Shot Near Primary School In Cocoyea, San Fernando — Police Investigating

EDITOR’S NOTE: The body of this article has been updated with new details. A man is currently hospitalized following a shooting incident near a Primary School in Cocoyea, San Fernando, earlier today (Monday 18th May, 2026). The victim has been identified as 43-year-old Richard Kingsley of Dos Santos Street, Mon Repos. According to reports, Kingsley was found suffering from gunshot wounds along the Naparima Mayaro Road, a short distance from the Cocoyea Government Primary School, around 6:50 AM. Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded to the scene. Officers attached to the Mon Repos Police Station conveyed the wounded man to the San Fernando General Hospital for emergency medical treatment, where he is said to be in stable condition.   Investigations are continuing.  More on this as it becomes available. Customs Officers Seize Nearly TT $6M In Marijuana From British National At Piarco Airport

The Customs and Excise Division said it successfully intercepted a passenger attempting to smuggle marijuana into Trinidad and Tobago through the Piarco International Airport on Sunday (17th May, 2026). According to the Division in a Media Release today (Monday 18th May, 2026), “During routine passenger clearance operations, Customs Officers at the Airport referred a 22-year-old British national to the Red Line for further examination of their luggage. During the examination, Officers discovered a quantity of plant-like material concealed within the passenger’s baggage. Officers attached to the Preventive Branch were subsequently contacted and responded to the scene, where field testing confirmed the substance to be marijuana. Man Denied Bail Following Princes Town Robbery With Violence, Aggravation Cases

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), Nicholas Spann has been remanded in custody following Court proceedings related to two (2) separate robbery incidents in May 2026. Both matters were initially heard at the South Masters Court on 13th May, 2026 before Master Kimitria Gray. In each case, the accused exercised his right to legal counsel and did not enter a plea. Bail was denied, and summary trials have been recommended. The cases have now been transferred to the Princes Town Magistrate Court, with hearings scheduled for 10th June, 2026. 20-Year-Old Man Struck Dead By Vehicle Near Mid Centre Mall After Leaving Bar

A man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle off the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway in Chaguanas early Saturday morning (16th May, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Brian Lalla of Cashew Gardens, Longdenville. According to reports, the fatal accident occurred near the lay-by leading from the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway to the Chaguanas Main Road, in the vicinity of Mid Centre Mall, around 12:50 AM. Ukranian Aircraft Receives Approval To Depart Piarco Airport After Thorough Investigation of ‘Explosives’ Cargo

The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago is confirming that a Ukrainian aircraft, Flight No. CVK-7078, arrived in Trinidad and Tobago from the Bahamas on Thursday (14th May, 2026), for a technical refueling stop. The aircraft was en route to Cape Verde, with a final destination of Libya. In a Media Release today (Friday 15th May, 2026), the Authority said, “Upon the aircraft's arrival, Officers of the Immigration Division discovered that the aircraft was transporting explosives which had not been declared in accordance with established international aviation and security protocols. As a result, the aircraft and its Ukrainian crew were detained, pending investigations by several national and international security and law enforcement agencies. Officers attached to the San Fernando Police Station are investigating a serious incident involving allegations of sexual assault, robbery, false imprisonment, and assault. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the alleged victim, a 38-year-old woman from Malgretoute Road, Princes Town, reported that she was unlawfully detained and assaulted by a 54-year-old male resident of Princess Margaret Street, San Fernando. According to the victim, the incidents began on Friday 27th February, 2026, when she visited the suspect’s residence to collect money owed. She alleges that the suspect prevented her from leaving and unlawfully took personal property, including cash and identification documents. The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) is advising the national community that a security‑related matter involving a cargo aircraft at the Piarco International Airport on Thursday (14th May, 2026), is currently engaging the attention of State security agencies. Reports indicate that the cargo aircraft may have been carrying explosives and was en route to another destination when it landed in Trinidad. Authorities have not disclosed the exact nature of the cargo found onboard the aircraft.
