Today: Hot, Hazy, Breezy, 25% Chance For Heavy Showers — Significant Saharan Dust; 33°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), partly cloudy intervals with a few showers today (Wednesday 27th May, 2026) will interrupt otherwise hot, hazy and breezy conditions. There is a low (25%) chance of the isolated heavy shower, near hilly areas. Tonight will be initially fair but hazy, with a light breeze, becoming partly cloudy with a few showers, mainly after Midnight.
Gusty winds are likely to occur in/near showers.
The Met Office notes that a significant concentration of Saharan dust is expected. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality are advised to exercise the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 33°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 32°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 2m to 2.5m in open waters and near 1m and choppy at times in sheltered areas.
