WASA Advances Pipeline Upgrades And Service Improvements In Couva South

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) said it continues to advance critical infrastructure upgrades across the Couva South district, with several pipeline installation projects currently in progress and additional works planned to improve water supply reliability for residents. In a Media Release on Friday (13th February, 2026), the Authority said these projects “form part of WASA's ongoing programme to strengthen transmission and distribution systems, reduce service interruptions, and expand access to safe, reliable water across communities.” Projects In Progress And Scheduled 1. Installation of 1,425 metres (approx. 56,100 inches) of 8-inch PVC pipeline. Status: Works in progress. Projected Completion: February 28, 2026. Estimated Beneficiaries: Approximately 480 persons. 2. WASA: South Oropouche Pipeline Repairs Completed Ahead of Schedule

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers, motorists and members of the general public that emergency repairs to the 36-inch transmission pipeline along South Trunk Road, South Oropouche was completed ahead of time, at approximately 12:00 AM on Friday (6th February, 2026). Customers are further advised that it may take between twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas, in accordance with established water supply schedules. The Authority notes that temporary asphalt surface road restoration has also been completed and the flow of vehicular traffic in the vicinity of the job-site returned to normal. Permanent restoration of the site will be undertaken in the coming weeks, in collaboration with NIDCO and the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure - Highways Division. Alert: Temporary Traffic Disruption On NP Overpass On Monday

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the general public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption on the NP Overpass on Monday (9th February, 2026), in order to facilitate spot patching works on the carriageway. Hours of Works: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM The works will require partial lane restrictions and traffic control measures in the vicinity of the overpass. Considering the above, motorists are asked to comply with the following: Proceed with caution and obey all signage, barriers, and traffic control personnel on-site. Reduce speed when approaching the work zone. Anticipate minor delays and plan travel accordingly. Be mindful of heavy equipment and work crews operating in the area. T&TEC: Traffic Interruption On Wrightson Road On Friday

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising members of the public that it will be conducting overhead line works in the Port-of-Spain area on Friday (30th January, 2026), which will necessitate the interruption of the normal flow of traffic. The works will be conducted along the Westbound lane of Wrightson Road, between Dock Road and SWWTU Hall, between the hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Drivers and pedestrians are advised to follow the guidance of the Police Officers on duty. The Commission says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by this traffic interruption. Please be guided accordingly.

T&TEC Public Advisory: Traffic Interruption Along Wrightson Road

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising motorists using Wrightson Road, Port of Spain, today (Saturday 24th January, 2026), that it is conducting emergency underground work in the vicinity of the Fire Services Headquarters. T&TEC notes that the work is necessary to repair a fault on an underground high voltage cable and, as a result, there will be an interruption in the flow of traffic along the Westbound lane until 6:00 PM today (Saturday 24th January, 2026). The Commission says it apologizes for any inconvenience caused by these repair works.  Motorists are urged to proceed with caution and to follow the instructions of Police Officers on-site. Alert: Temporary Closure of Suchit Trace, Debe

The Penal/Debe Regional Corporation is notifying the public that the portion of roadway from the Suchit Trace entrance along the S.S. Erin Road, to the entrance of Anand Low Price Supermarket, will be temporarily closed to facilitate road works. These works will take place from Monday 12th to Tuesday 13th January, 2026, between the hours of 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The alternative access route for this period is the S.S. Erin Road. The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the public that debris removal works will be conducted along the Highways listed in the schedule below, during January 2026. These works will require temporary lane disruptions. NCRHA Continues Improvement Efforts With Scheduled Road Paving, Repair Works

The North Central Regional Health Authority (NCRHA) is informing the public that planned road paving and repair works will take place this weekend, from 6:00 AM on Saturday (13th December, 2025) to 6:00 AM on Sunday (14th December, 2025). Temporary Traffic Disruption: Park Street And Adjoining Streets, Port-of-Spain

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising the public that there will be a temporary traffic disruption along Park Street and adjoining streets in Port-of-Spain, to facilitate upgrade works on the Traffic Signal System. The scheduled works will begin at the intersection of Park Street and Abercromby Street and continue along adjoining streets on the following dates: Friday 28th November and Saturday 29th November, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The location of works will be along the San Fernando Bypass, from LP #85 to LP #86, in the vicinity of the South Park Roundabout, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM , in order to facilitate the maintenance of the overhead line infrastructure in the area. T&TEC notes that the job entails crossing conductors across all four (4) lanes of the San Fernando Bypass, three (3) times for twenty (20) minutes each. Fallen Tree And Light Pole Cleared At Queen's Park Savannah

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (RDLG) is advising the public that the fallen tree and light pole at the Queen's Park Savannah, in the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago, have been cleared and the roadway is now fully passable, as of 4:00 PM this afternoon (Thursday 23rd October, 2025). The tree and light pole fell shortly before 3:00 PM, rendering the roadway impassable. The Ministry advised persons to seek alternative routes at the time. The Port-of-Spain City Corporation's Disaster Management Unit (DMU) and Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, along with all relevant Ministries and agencies, were on-site responding to the incident.
