Today: Dull, Hazy, Breezy, 30% Chance For Heavy Showers — Moderate To High Saharan Dust; 32°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect mainly dull, hazy and breezy conditions today (Sunday 31st May, 2026), despite brief showers, favouring South Trinidad. There is also the low (30%) chance of a heavier shower or odd thunderstorm. Tonight will be hazy, with a light breeze and isolated showers towards dawn.
In the event of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, gusty winds and street flooding can occur.
The Met Office notes that a moderate to high concentration of Saharan dust is currently present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 32°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 31°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and below 1m in sheltered areas.
