According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect variably cloudy conditions today (Monday 2nd November, 2026), with periods of showers or rain and the medium (60%) chance of isolated thunderstorm activity. Conditions are expected to gradually become settled by evening, despite a few lingering showers and the low (30%) chance of a heavy shower or thunderstorm, favouring Tobago.
Gusty winds and street/flash flooding are possible near heavy showers or thunderstorms.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 31°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 30°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 1.5m to 2m in open waters and below 1m and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
Recommendations for outdoor activities today:
Persons planning to spend time outdoors today should carry an umbrella or raincoat and be prepared for periods of showers or rain, particularly during the morning and afternoon, when isolated thunderstorms are also possible. Exercise caution when travelling, as heavy showers or thunderstorms may produce gusty winds and street or flash flooding. Motorists should reduce speed and avoid driving through flooded roadways. Although conditions are expected to gradually settle by evening, a few lingering showers may persist, particularly in Tobago. With maximum temperatures reaching 31°C in Trinidad and 30°C in Tobago, stay hydrated and take precautions against heat exposure during brighter periods. Marine users should also exercise caution, as open waters are moderate, with waves reaching 1.5m to 2m, while sheltered areas may occasionally become choppy.
