Missing 14-Year-Old Girl Found During Mon Repos House Search Operation

A missing 14-year-old girl was safely located during a co-ordinated house search operation conducted in the Mon Repos Police District on Saturday (1st August, 2026).

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the operation, code-named “Operation Resolute Shield,” was conducted between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM as part of ongoing crime reduction initiatives and efforts to enhance public safety within the district.

The exercise was co-ordinated by Senior Superintendent Hospedales, Superintendents Bertie and Bridglal, Assistant Superintendents Ramsaran, Pacheco, Chulhan and Ragbir, Inspector Boodoo, and Sergeant Martin, with direct supervision provided by Acting Sergeant Pitt and Corporal Modeste, along with Officers of the Mon Repos Police Station.

During the operation, Officers searched two (2) residences, resulting in the arrest of a man in connection with an Affiliation Warrant.

At approximately 3:30 PM, acting on intelligence, Officers proceeded to a residence at Dallas Avenue, Cocoyea, where they located the 14-year-old girl, who had been reported missing to the Four Roads Police Station in Diego Martin on 30th July, 2026.

The teenager, who is a Ward of the State, was taken into Police custody by WPC Sinanan and conveyed to the Mon Repos Police Station with the assistance of other Officers. The Children’s Authority and the Four Roads Police Station were notified to facilitate the appropriate follow-up.
