39-Year-Old Security Officer Stabbed To Death During Fight Over Woman In Princes Town; Suspect Held With Knife
A man is dead following a stabbing incident during an altercation in Princes Town on Sunday afternoon (5th July, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Security Officer, Stephen Jack, of Extension 3, Lallo Trace, Chin Chin, Cunupia.
According to reports, Jack drove to Charlotte Street, Princes Town, shortly after 3:20 PM, where he parked his silver Nissan AD wagon and began asking a resident about a woman who lived in the area. While speaking with the resident, Jack reportedly spotted the woman walking out of Charlotte Street, accompanied by another man, and approached the pair.
An argument ensued, during which the man repeatedly told Jack to leave. However, the dispute quickly escalated into a physical confrontation and Jack was stabbed multiple times in the abdomen, chest, thigh and back. Following the stabbing, the man and the woman reportedly left the scene immediately.
The injured victim was rushed to the Princes Town Health Facility, where medical personnel made desperate efforts to save his life. However, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at approximately 4:05 PM.
A suspect from Charlotte Street, Princes Town, was later arrested by Officers of the Princes Town Police Station, at the corner of Water Lane and Cacique Street.
During a search of the suspect, Officers found a blood-soaked grey-and-black flick knife in his right front pocket, which investigators believe may have been used in the attack.
Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the fatal stabbing.
