BODY of Missing 23-Year-Old Man Found At Heights of Guanapo, Arima
The decomposing body of a man was found at the Heights of Guanapo in Arima on Wednesday (7th January, 2026). The deceased has been identified as missing 23-year-old Ronald Ramlogan of St. Mary’s, Moruga. He was reported missing on Friday 2nd January, 2026.
In a Facebook post earlier today (Thursday 8th January, 2026), the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT) said, “SAD NEWS: The body which was found in Heights of Guanapo, Arima, last evening, has just been officially identified as that of RONALD RAMLOGAN, who went missing from St. Mary's Village, Moruga, last Friday. On behalf of Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallence Rambharat and the large contingent of Police Officers who searched for him, over the last six (6) days, we extend our commiserations to his family, friends and loved ones. SLEEP IN ETERNAL PEACE RONALD. GOD'S BLESSINGS BROTHER.”
According to reports, Ramlogan left his home on Friday 2nd January, 2026 in the company of a relative of deceased Shumba James. Ramlogan reportedly told his relatives that he was heading to the beach in Moruga with friends, near the Moruga Police Station.
Reports indicate that Ramlogan did arrive near the said Police Station, as one of the occupants of the vehicle he was traveling in was required to sign a Police register on the same day. However, the driver of the vehicle later claimed that he dropped Ramlogan off in the Princes Town district.
Ramlogan was last seen wearing a black hat, white jersey, and a pair of Jordan sneakers — articles of clothing that matches what the deceased was found in.
Homicide Officers received an anonymous report about the body and proceeded to the area, where the gruesome discovery was made.
Investigators suspect that Ramlogan was murdered and his body subsequently dumped in the Heights of Guanapo area.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death.
Investigations are continuing by Officers of the Arima Police Station and the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region II.
More on this as it becomes available.
