21-Year-Old Woman Dies In Head-On Collision Along M2 Ring Road, Princes Town

A woman is dead following a road traffic accident along the M2 Ring Road in Princes Town early this morning (Thursday 4th September, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Naomi Ramnarine.

According to reports, Ramnarine was a front seat passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend, who, along with his mother, was heading to the Piarco International Airport to pick up relatives, around 4:45 AM, when their vehicle collided head-on with a blue van (TBP 9054).

Police and Emergency Health Services were notified. However, Ramnarine succumbed to her injuries.

Ramnarine's distraught parents arrived at the scene shortly after the incident.

Her father said, "They left home at around 3:30 AM to go to the Airport. Her fiancĂ©’s family was coming. The boy was driving and his mother was in the car. He told me he was driving coming down this way and this vehicle was driving on his car. Her boyfriend said he was blowing his horn but the vehicle wasn't moving. Then they both pull back at the same time and that was it.”

Ramnarine's mother said she enjoyed the evening with her daughter on Wednesday (3rd September, 2025), adding: “And this morning I hot water for her to bathe and I lie down on her bed and say ‘girl, stay home with me’ and she said she doing to the Airport with her boyfriend. So I tell her go safe.”

The mother said she was in disbelief when she received the call that her daughter was involved in a crash.

Investigations are continuing into the deadly crash.
