Caribbean Airlines Suspends ALL Flights Between Trinidad And Caracas, Venezuela — For September 2025

Caribbean Airlines Limited (CAL) is advising the public that effective immediately, flights between Trinidad and Caracas, Venezuela will be suspended for the month of September 2025.

The affected flights are as follows:

While no reason for the suspension was stated by Caribbean Airlines, recent tensions between Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela and the United States would have factored into the decision. 

In a Media Release today (Thursday 4th September, 2025), CAL said passengers who are already booked on these services are being contacted by the airline and may rebook without any change fees, subject to the following conditions:

1. Waiver of all fees for tickets rebooked in the same cabin.

2. Passengers whose flights would have been impacted may be rebooked on any future available Caribbean Airlines service, with no penalty.

3. All changes MUST be made through the Caribbean Airlines Reservations Call Centre or at a Caribbean Airlines Ticket Office.

CAL added, “Customers booked on these affected flights, who prefer to apply for a refund on their tickets, may do so via the Caribbean Airlines Reservations Call Centre, a Caribbean Airlines Ticket Office or Travel Agents.”

CARIBBEAN AIRLINES TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF FLIGHTS BETWEEN TRINIDAD AND CARACAS, VENEZUELA FOR SEPTEMBER 2025:

1. How long is the suspension of flights between Trinidad and Caracas?

At this time, Caribbean Airlines has suspended flight operations between Trinidad and Caracas for the month of September 2025. This suspension of service affects flights BW 300 and BW 301 for September 6, 13, 20 and 27. Any further updates on the airline's Caracas operation beyond September will be available via www.caribbean-airlines.com and on all social media platforms.

2. Are customers entitled to a refund?

Yes. Customers booked for travel on flights BW 300/BW 301 of September 6, 13, 20 and 27, may apply for a refund on their tickets via the Caribbean Airlines Reservations Call Centre, a Caribbean Airlines Ticket Office or via Travel Agents.

3. Can passengers already booked on the affected Caribbean Airlines flights be rebooked on another Caribbean Airlines flight to/from Caracas?

Yes. Passengers who are already booked on suspended POS/CCS flights for the month of September may rebook on future available Caribbean Airlines service with no penalty.

4. Will Caribbean Airlines facilitate travel for affected passengers on another air carrier that may be operating in September?

Yes. Caribbean Airlines will facilitate passenger re-accommodation on an alternative air carrier, contingent upon seat availability.

5. What are the options available for customers who have already travelled to/from Caracas, with a return flight that is now suspended?

Passengers whose return sector has been impacted by the suspension may choose to:

  • Rebook on a future available Caribbean Airlines flight.
  • Accommodated on an alternative carrier, subject to seat availability.
  • Apply for a refund of the unused portions of their ticket.


The Media Release concluded by saying, “Any further updates on the Caracas operation will be available via www.caribbean-airlines.com and all social media platforms. Thank you for your understanding and any inconvenience is regretted.”
