NO Electricity On Friday In Parts of Beetham, Laventille, Tunapuna, Sangre Grande, Penal

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) is advising customers that planned maintenance work will affect several areas of Beetham, Laventille, Tunapuna, Sangre Grande and Penal on Friday (5th September, 2025). This may result in loss of electricity between the hours of works. 

According to T&TEC, the affected areas in Beetham, Laventille, Tunapuna, Sangre Grande and Penal are as follows: 

BEETHAM (8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM)

  • Along Main Street, Beetham Gardens, including 14th to 23rd Streets, Beetham Highway in the vicinity of Beetham Landfill, VMCOTT compound and Fernandes Industrial Centre - Southwestern compound.

LAVENTILLE (8:30 AM to 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM)

  • Old St. Joseph Road, Laventille, including Ready Mix Street, Furness Withy Private Road, Robert Street, Clare Street, William Street, Erica Street, Old Street, Rigault Street, Stanisclaus Street, Troutman Street, Lamkin Lane, Gibson Lane, Small Road, Wharton Street, Marcella Street, Thomasine Street and all associated side streets.

TUNAPUNA (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) 

  • North of LP #9 on El Dorado Road and Green Street from LP #53 to LP #71, including Henry Road, Taylor Street, Balthazar Street, Thompson Lane, Fairley Street, Sheriff Street, Achong Trace, Marcano Trace, Taylor Street, Tunapuna Government Secondary School, Hillview College, Tacangua Health Centre and all associated side streets.

SANGRE GRANDE (8:30 AM to 3:30 PM) 

  • From LP #7 on Toco Main Road at Lucana Drive to LP #136 on Toco Main Road, including Quash Trace Extension, Lotus Gardens, Phillipville Road, El Reposo Road, Reid Lane, La Seiva Extension, Vega De Oropouche, Rampersad Trace, Sahadeen Trace, North Oropouche R.C. School, Vega De Oropouche ECCE and all associated side streets.

PENAL (8:30 AM to 4:00 PM) 

  • Off LP #A226 SS Erin Road, Penal, including Ramjohn Trace.

T&TEC says it regrets the inconvenience which may be caused by these interruptions.
