Continuation of Slope Stabilization Works Along Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, Near Macaulay Flyover

The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure is advising the public of the continuation of slope stabilization works along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, 33.5 Km mark, within the vicinity of the Macaulay Flyover, in order to facilitate critical repairs to a landslip. These works are expected to commence today (Monday 6th October, 2025) and will end on Saturday (11th October, 2025).

Hours of Work: 9:00 PM - 4:00 AM

During this phase of the project, there will be no disruption to the regular flow of traffic, except for equipment intermittently entering and exiting the site.

In light of the above, motorists are advised to comply with the following:

  • Proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.
  • Comply with instructions from Police Officers or flag persons on-site, to facilitate a safe and orderly flow of traffic.
  • Be aware of equipment in the work zone and entering/exiting the site.
  • Motorists should drive at a reduced speed and proceed with caution on approaching the work zone.
  • No shoulder access would be available at the work zone.
