Student Arrested With Cannabis On Secondary School Compound In South Trinidad
A teenaged boy was arrested on a school compound on Wednesday morning (1st October, 2025), after he was found in possession of a quantity of cannabis.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), a security guard at a Secondary School (unnamed by the TTPS) in the Southern Division, conducted a search of a male student’s book bag, around 8:05 AM on Wednesday.
The search resulted in the discovery of a quantity of cannabis inside the bag.
The TTPS said the school’s administration and Officers of the Division were informed about the matter and the boy arrested in connection with the find.
The minor was charged with possession of cannabis and is expected to appear before the Children’s Court, Fyzabad, on Friday (3rd October, 2025).
