Pennywise Cosmetics To Resume Selling ZO Skin Health Products After Court Battle, Settlement

Pennywise Cosmetics Limited has announced that it will be the nation’s exclusive authorized commercial retailer of the ZO Skin Health brand, following a settlement between both parties in a Court matter.

In a Press Release issued today (Tuesday 11th November, 2025), Pennywise said, “Over one year ago, in a Court matter, an injunction was granted against Pennywise Cosmetics Ltd., the terms of which prevented us from selling ZO Skin Health, a brand of medical-grade skincare. At all times, in the said Court matter, our constant position was that we had legally imported genuine, authentic products and had offered it to our customers at the best possible prices, in keeping with our standard practice and our continuous commitment to our customers. As a result we decided to challenge said injunction and take the matter to trial.”

Pennywise added, “While awaiting the trial we were approached by the claimants with an offer to enter into settlement discussions. After months of negotiations, through our lawyers, we have been able to achieve a compromise to the mutual benefit of both parties in the Court matter. As a result, we are pleased and excited to announce that Pennywise Cosmetics Ltd will be the nation’s exclusive authorized commercial retailer of the ZO Skin Health brand.”

The Press Release concluded by saying, “We wish to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers for their faith in us, and their continued support over this period. We also take this opportunity to affirm our mission of providing our customers with the widest range of authentic products at the best prices nationwide.”

Pennywise is one of the largest retail chains in the Caribbean, which specializes in health and beauty products. ZO Skin Health is manufactured in the United States.

Mandatory Fixed Penalty Warning System For These 18 Traffic Violations To Take Effect From Monday

The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation is advising members of the public that, effective from Monday (2nd March, 2026), mandatory Fixed Penalty Warnings will be implemented for eighteen (18) specified traffic violations contained in the Eleventh Schedule to the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act , Chap. 48:50, aimed at improving road safety, encouraging compliance, and promoting corrective action. In a Media Release on Friday (27th February, 2026), the Ministry said, “ Motorists in breach of the listed violations will be issued a Fixed Penalty Warning instead of a Fixed Penalty Notice. The warning provides motorists with an opportunity to correct the identified defect within a prescribed three (3) or seven (7) business day period , excluding weekends, public holidays, Carnival Monday and Carnival Tuesday.” The Ministry notes that upon issuance of a warning, the motorist is required to remedy the defect and present the vehicle at any Police Station or any office of the Licensing...

Police Constable Hospitalized In Critical Condition Following ‘Incident’ At Sangre Grande Police Station

UPDATE (24/02/26): The injured Officer has been identified as PC Jonathan Bonaldo, who is assigned to the Sangre Grande Police Station. He is still receiving treatment for his severe injuries at Hospital. Bonaldo reportedly managed to get to his feet after his fall and made his way into the station’s Charge Room. Bleeding from the head, he is said to have rested his head on the Station Diary, leaving it stained with blood. He then walked into the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) office, where he laid down on a desk, before being rushed for emergency medical treatment. A man is dead following a shooting incident in Santa Cruz last night (Wednesday 25th February, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old labourer, Hakeem Baker, also known as “Peng,” of Northwest Drive, Patna Village, Diego Martin. He was gunned down inside a car. According to reports, Officers of the North Eastern Division were alerted about several loud explosions heard on Sun Valley Extension, La Canoa Road, shortly before 9:00 PM, and responded to the scene. A man is dead following a shooting incident in Barataria earlier today (Sunday 1st March, 2026). The deceased has been identified as Rivaldo Pierre of Gilkes Street, Four Roads, Diego Martin.  According to reports, Pierre was shot inside a house along 10th Street, Barataria. A man has died at Hospital, days after a shooting incident during a robbery at his sales tent in Gulf View on Saturday night (14th February, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 56-year-old Vijay Nanan of Rousillac. According to reports, the businessman and his employee, 40-year-old Yudelcy Martinez, were conducting sales at his tent along Gulf View Link Road, when two (2) men dressed in dark clothing stormed in and announced a robbery, around 7:00 PM. Nanan allegedly refused to surrender and armed himself with a cutlass, in an attempt to defend his employee and the day’s earnings.
