BODY of Elderly Woman Found In Gasparillo Home — With Throat Slit
UPDATE: Hours after the victim’s body was discovered, a relative was contacted by someone who reported finding her cellphone in the washroom of D' Colonnade Restaurant And Bar, located nearby to her home.
The body of an elderly woman was found with her throat slit at her home in Gasparillo this afternoon (Tuesday 2nd December, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 74-year-old Chandra Jury of San Fabien Road, Gasparillo.
According to reports, Jury, who lived alone in the upper floor of the house, was discovered by a relative with her throat slit around 3:00 PM. Officers of the Gasparillo Police Station received a report around 3:05 PM that an elderly woman had been found bleeding at her residence. Upon arrival at 3:30 PM, they found Jury lying on a bed upstairs, unresponsive, with a severe wound to the left side of her neck.
A man residing in the downstairs portion of the building told Police he and a neighbour left Jury alive in the company of his wife, around 1:30 PM, to drink some beers at a nearby bar in Gasparillo. However, while having two (2) beers, they received an urgent phone call instructing them to return home immediately. Upon arrival, they were informed that Jury had been found dead upstairs.
According to the man, his wife claimed she was downstairs the entire time, heard nothing, and had no idea what transpired inside the elderly woman’s living quarters upstairs.
Officers of the Gasparillo Police Station and the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) Region III are continuing investigations into this brutal murder.
