Double Murder In Diego Martin: 2 Men Shot Dead In Hail of Bullets; Nearly 60 Spent Shells Found
Two (2) men are dead following a brutal shooting incident in Diego Martin last night (Friday 20th February, 2026). The deceased have been identified as 53-year-old Christian Achille and 31-year-old Marcus Best. Investigators believe this was a targeted attack on the men.
According to reports, the men were liming in front of Dipstick’s Enterprise Auto Body Works, located along Sea Trace, Bagatelle, when a silver Nissan Tiida pulled up along the roadway. A rifle was allegedly seen protruding from the rear passenger side of the vehicle before a series of gunshots rang out. Achille and Best were struck multiple times about the body. The gunmen then fled the scene in the Tiida shortly after.
Officers on mobile patrol in the Western Division received information about the shooting in the area, around 9:25 PM, and responded to the scene. Upon arrival, they were directed to the entrance of the auto body repair shop, where both men were found lying motionless with apparent gunshot wounds.
A District Medical Officer (DMO) was summoned, who made official pronouncements, and ordered the bodies removed to the Forensic Science Centre for post-mortem examinations to be conducted.
Crime scene investigators are said to have recovered nearly sixty (60) rounds of 5.56 spent shell casings as well as several items of evidential value.
Investigations are continuing into the brazen double murder.
More on this as it becomes available.
