Man Buried Alive While Digging Trench In Maracas St. Joseph — Dies At Scene; Co-Worker Injured

A man is dead and another injured while digging a trench on a property in Maracas St. Joseph on Thursday (5th February, 2026). The deceased has been identified as Kevin Dennis.

According to reports, Dennis tragically lost his life after a substantial mound of dirt collapsed on him, burying him alive. The incident occurred while workers were digging a trench on a property located along Santa Barbara Road in Maracas St. Joseph.

Further reports indicate that a co-worker was also injured. Details of that person’s condition are unknown at this time.

Dennis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
