Today: Fair, Hazy, Breezy, Isolated Showers — Mild To Moderate Saharan Dust; 31°C Max
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect generally fair, hazy and breezy conditions today (Friday 20th February, 2026), despite the partly cloudy spell with isolated showers, mainly during the early afternoon. Tonight will be mostly fair but hazy.
Street flooding and gusty winds are possible near showers.
A Hazardous Seas Alert (Yellow Level) is in effect until 6:00 PM on Saturday (21st February, 2026).
The Met Office notes that a mild to moderate concentration of Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.
The forecast maximum temperature today will be 31°C at Piarco in Trinidad and 30°C at Crown Point in Tobago.
Seas are moderate with waves 2m to 2.5m in open waters and 1m to 1.5m and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
