Today: Fair, Slightly Hazy, Breezy, Isolated Showers — Mild Saharan Dust; 30°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), we can expect a few cloudy patches with showers interrupting fair, slightly hazy and breezy conditions today (Thursday 19th February, 2026), mainly during the early afternoon. Tonight will be generally fair, with a few partly cloudy spells with showers after Midnight.

Gusty winds are possible, particularly near showers.

A Hazardous Seas Alert (Yellow Level) will be in effect until 6:00 PM on Saturday (21st February, 2026).

The Met Office notes that a mild concentration of Saharan dust is present in the atmosphere. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.

The forecast maximum temperature today will be 30°C at both Piarco in Trinidad and Crown Point in Tobago. 

Seas are moderate with waves 2m to 2.5m in open waters and near 1m and occasionally choppy in sheltered areas.
