BODY of Missing 36-Year-Old Man Found In Las Lomas Forest
UPDATE (18/04/26): A post-mortem examination conducted at the Forensic Science Centre on Friday (17th April, 2026) revealed that Frederick Aaron Stevenson died from blunt force trauma to the head, with investigators alleging he was killed with a sledgehammer before his body was dumped in a forested area off Esmeralda Road, Las Lomas.
Investigators believe Stevenson was lured to the home of James Dwaraka under the pretext of carrying out repairs on an air conditioning unit, where it is alleged he was attacked and fatally struck with a sledgehammer on the same day he was reported missing, Saturday 11th April, 2026.
Dwaraka, who allegedly disappeared following the incident, is now wanted by Police.
Police sources believe Stevenson’s body was transported from Dwaraka’s residence after the killing and dumped in the isolated location in an attempt to conceal the crime.
Investigators have since detained two (2) individuals who are believed to have assisted in the removal and disposal of the body.
The case is being treated as a targeted and premeditated killing. Efforts are ongoing to locate the main suspect and determine the full extent of those involved.
The body of a man was found in a forested area off Esmeralda Road in Las Lomas last night (Wednesday 15th April, 2026). The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Frederick Aaron Stevenson of Sapphire Circular, Las Lomas No. 3. The discovery was made by Crime Watch host, Ian Alleyne, with the assistance of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT), led by Captain Vallence Rambharat.
Stevenson was reported missing after he left his home on Saturday 11th April, 2026 to conduct a brief air-conditioning repair job nearby, along Sapphire Circular. Relatives said he indicated he would return shortly, but never did.
Investigators later uncovered burnt items and a slipper believed to belong to Stevenson in the vicinity where he was last seen, deepening fears about his safety.
However, those fears were confirmed on Wednesday night when his body was found in a forested area off Esmeralda Road.
In a Facebook post, the HSRT said Ian Alleyne met and spoke with Captain Vallence Rambharat in Las Lomas No. 3, around 5:00 PM. “He requested our team's assistance to search an area where he had picked up a foul stench. He took our team to an area, where the vegetation was thick and thorny. At 8:00 PM, a body was spotted by Ian Alleyne. Apart from Ian Alleyne and his personnel and our team, no one else was in the said area. Our Captain then contacted Corporal Singh of the San Raphael Police Station. Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, would like to thank Ian Alleyne, because his intel on the subject matter was on spot.”
Police have since launched a homicide investigation into the circumstances surrounding his murder.
More on this as it becomes available.
