TWO (2) Men Charged In Facebook Marketplace Robbery Scheme
Swift investigative efforts by Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), resulted in charges being laid against two (2) suspects, in connection with a series of robberies linked to Facebook Marketplace transactions in the Morvant district.
According to the TTPS, on Friday (31st January, 2025), Randy St. Rose and Christian Collins appeared before Master Gray at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court, each charged with two (2) counts of robbery with violence and one (1) count of robbery with aggravation.St. Rose was granted bail in the sum of $100,000, with conditions requiring him to report to a specified Police Station twice per week. Meanwhile, Collins was denied bail.
The matter has been adjourned to 27th February, 2025.
Following reports of the incidents on 20th January, 2025, extensive enquiries were conducted by PC Douglas under the supervision of Snr. Supt. Edwards, Supt. Birch, ASP Calender, Inspector Ramsingh, and Sgt. Maynard, which led to the arrest of key suspects.
