20-Year-Old Man Dies After Crashing Into Parked Wrecker On Highway, Others Injured
A man is dead and two (2) others injured following a road traffic accident along the Southbound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway last night (Saturday 13th September, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Isaiah Teelucksingh of Delhi Road, Fyzabad.
According to reports, Teelucksingh was driving a Nissan Cefiro (PCP 3889), when it crashed into a parked purple Isuzu wrecker that was partially on the shoulder of the Highway, near the Army Base just after the Corinth Overpass, around 8:35 PM. The Cefiro was extensively damaged. At the time, the wrecker operator was said to have been securing a stalled Nissan Tiida for removal when the crash occurred.
The injured victims have been identified as Krishna Balram of Gasparillo and Ravi Cazabon of Woodland.
Police, Fire and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded. However, Teelucksingh succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Both the wrecker operator and the Tiida driver suffered injuries and were conveyed to Hospital for medical treatment.
Investigations are continuing into the fatal crash.
