32-Year-Old Man Shot Dead Outside Bar In San Juan, Soldier Among TWO (2) Others Wounded

A man is dead and two (2) others wounded, including a soldier, following a shooting incident outside a bar in San Juan on Friday evening (12th September, 2025), in which forty (40) spent shells were found. The deceased has been identified as 32-year-old Mozik Cobham of Ramkissoon Trace, Santa Cruz Old Road. The injured victims are said to be 31-year-old Gwen Small of the same area, and 25-year-old Kevon Ferdinand, a Trinidad and Tobago Regiment (TTR) soldier of Santa Cruz. 

According to reports, a black heavily tinted SUV, of unknown make and registration, stopped near a bar known as “Flats” at the corner of Ramkissoon Trace and Ramkissoon Extension, around 5:20 PM. Four (4) armed assailants, three (3) dressed in black and one (1) in full camouflage, all wearing masks, alighted from the vehicle and opened fire on a group of patrons.

As the group scattered, Cobham and two (2) others were hit by gunfire. The gunmen then returned to the SUV and escaped by heading West along Ramkissoon Street. 

Police and Emergency Health Services were notified. The three (3) wounded persons were taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope by civilians, where Cobham succumbed to his injuries, around 5:48 PM. The other victims remain warded in stable condition.

Crime scene investigators recovered forty (40) spent 9mm shell casings, two (2) live rounds, fragments, and an extended Glock magazine containing six (6) rounds.

Investigations are continuing.
