Barrackpore Home Invasion And Robbery — FOUR (4) Arrested And Charged

In a Media Release today (Monday 22nd September, 2025), the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said four (4) persons have been arrested and jointly charged in connection with a report of burglary, which occurred in the South Western Division on 13th September, 2025.

The accused are as follows:

  • A 29-year-old woman of Monoorhar Maharaj Trace, Barrackpore.
  • A 35-year-old woman of Monoorhar Maharaj Trace, Barrackpore.
  • A 28-year-old man of Hassanali Trace, Lower Barrackpore.
  • A 31-year-old man of Reform Development, Gasparillo.

Police reports state the victims were asleep at their South Oropouche Trace, South Barrackpore home, when they were awakened by loud noises. Upon checking, they observed two (2) men climbing through a window, located on the Western side of the house.

The suspects tied up the victims and robbed them of several items, including:

  • Diamond jewellery.
  • US $2,200 in cash.
  • Approximately TT $10,000 in Digicel phone cards.
  • Approximately TT $3,000 in cash.
  • One (1) iPhone 12 valued at TT $4,000. 
  • One (1) brown purse valued at TT $100 containing: one (1) RBC bank card, one (1) Trinidad and Tobago National Identification Card, one (1) Driver’s Permit, and TT $1,500 in cash.
  • Two (2) Passports valued at TT $1,000 belonging to both victims.
  • A gold Mazda 3 motor vehicle.

The suspects then escaped in the stolen vehicle in an unknown direction. The Police were contacted and investigations were launched.

Following enquiries conducted by PC Seecharan, the TTPS said searches were executed at the homes of three (3) of the suspects, where several items of evidential value were recovered.

As a result, the four (4) suspects were jointly charged with the following offences:

  • Burglary.
  • Two (2) counts of false imprisonment.
  • Two (2) counts of robbery with violence.
  • Larceny motor vehicle.

Additionally, the 29-year-old female suspect was charged with possession of stolen items.

They were scheduled to appear before the South Criminal Court today (Monday 22nd September, 2025).
