Suspected Police Kits Seized In Barataria During Hybrid Exercise

A multi-agency hybrid Police exercise, conducted between 4:00 PM on Friday (12th September, 2025) and 1:00 AM on Saturday (13th September, 2025), resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle, the arrest of two (2) suspects, and the seizure of several items of what appears to be official Police gear.

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), the operation, which was spearheaded by ACP Michael Pierre, Snr. Supt. Ramnarine, Supt. Ramsook, and ASP Singh, and co-ordinated by Insp. Price, was carried out across the Port-of-Spain and North Eastern Divisions. Personnel from Operation Hope B, including Officers from multiple Police Stations, participated in the targeted exercise.

Around 4:30 PM on Friday, Officers, acting on intelligence information, proceeded to Grenado Street, Barataria, where they conducted a search of a bushy area. During the search, a partially buried plastic drum was discovered. Inside, Officers found the following items:

  • Three (3) blue-coloured tactical jackets, each bearing Police patches on the chest and sleeves.
  • Three (3) black tactical pants, resembling those used by tactical units within the Police Service.
  • One (1) black Police cap and a pair of tactical boots.

Additionally, Officers intercepted a white Nissan B15 motor vehicle in relation to a report of robbery. Two (2) juvenile suspects were arrested:

  • A 16-year-old boy, of Clifton Towers, St. Paul Street.
  • A 15-year-old boy, of Snake Valley, Laventille.

Both suspects were taken into custody and conveyed to the St. Clair Police Station. 

Investigations into the above matters are ongoing.
