U.S. Citizen Shot Dead In Enterprise, Chaguanas; THREE (3) Others Wounded
A man is dead and three (3) others wounded following a shooting incident in Enterprise, Chaguanas, last night (Sunday 7th September, 2025). The deceased has been identified as 38-year-old Kawandy Dixon of Freedom Street, Enterprise, who was also a United States citizen.
According to reports, the victims were liming in front of TJ Mini Mart along Freedom Street, around 11:15 PM, when two (2) vehicles — a blue Toyota Aqua and a Nissan Tiida — pulled up. Several gunmen alighted from the vehicles and opened fire on the group before speeding off.
Police and Emergency Health Services were notified. Upon arrival, Officers found Dixon and three (3) other men, Trent Johnson, 39, Randy “Fenrick” Medford, 43, and Shane Melville, 29, lying on the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
The victims were rushed to the Chaguanas Health Facility by Police Officers with the assistance of a passerby. However, Dixon was pronounced dead at 11:40 PM. He is said to have sustained multiple penetrating wounds, including a fatal chest injury. His body was taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St. James for a post-mortem examination.
Johnson was treated for a laceration and discharged. Medford was shot in the face, while Melville, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds and a fractured femur, also remains in serious condition at Hospital.
Crime scene investigators recovered fifty-three (53) spent shells, including twenty-six (26) rounds of 5.56 ammunition and twenty-seven (27) rounds of 9mm.
Investigations are continuing.
