4-Year-Old Girl Pronounced Dead At Mount Hope Hospital — Bruises Found On Body
UPDATE (17/10/25): A forensic autopsy has confirmed that Jemima died from stab injuries, sending shockwaves through her Beetham community. The examination was conducted today (Friday 17th October, 2025) at the Forensic Science Centre (FSC).
A forensic autopsy has been ordered into the death of a 4-year-old girl, after preliminary examinations found concerning marks on her body. The deceased has been identified as Jemima Bonaparte.
According to reports, Jemima was brought to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex (EWMSC) in Mount Hope on Thursday 9th October, 2025, by her stepfather, Tyrell Williams of Pioneer Drive, Sea Lots. Williams alleges he found the child unresponsive at home and immediately contacted Emergency Health Services. Despite attempts to resuscitate her, however, Jemima was pronounced dead at 6:07 PM the same day.
The initial autopsy was said to have been halted and referred to the Forensic Science Centre (FSC), after the pathologist observed unusual marks on the child’s body, prompting further investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
Efforts by Police to locate Williams after he dropped her off at the Hospital were initially unsuccessful. However, a relative later said he had visited the Police after being chased out of the Sea Lots community by residents.
Jemima’s grandfather, Marvin ‘Crusher’ Rugette, 52, was charged in May 2025 with the murder of 2-year-old Angelo Farrel, who died in November 2023, after being severely beaten. The incident occurred in Beetham Gardens.
Angelo was reportedly left in the care and custody of Jemima's mother, who resides at 23rd Street, Phase 4, Beetham Gardens, at the time of his death.
Authorities say this family connection has intensified scrutiny over Jemima's death.
Investigations are continuing.
More on this as it becomes available.
