DJ Selecta N-Tech Dies In Early-Morning Crash In Enterprise, Chaguanas

A man is dead and a pedestrian hospitalized following a road traffic accident in Enterprise, Chaguanas, early this morning (Friday 3rd October, 2025). The deceased has been identified as Narise Jackman, aka ‘DJ Selecta N-Tech,’ of Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas. He was the son of veteran radio personality DJ Maggie (Maurice Jackman) of More 104.7 FM. Known on-air as Selecta N-Tech, he joined Scorch 101.1 FM in August 2024 after winning a DJ search competition.

According to reports, Jackman was driving a black Honda Civic (PCB 1993) along the Southern Main Road, near Dass Trace, Enterprise, around 5:00 AM, when he lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the roadway and struck a pedestrian who was standing on the pavement in front of Pamela’s Quality Meats, before slamming into a concrete wall and flipping onto its hood.

Police and Emergency Health Services were notified and responded quickly to the scene. However, Jackman was unresponsive when removed from the vehicle and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene by a District Medical Officer (DMO), around 6:45 AM.

The pedestrian who suffered injuries in the crash has been identified as 35-year-old Emilio Nicholas Teemul of Enterprise. He suffered multiple fractures to his left foot and ankle and was treated at the Chaguanas Health Facility, where his condition is listed as stable.

Scorch 101.1 FM issued the following statement following news of Jackman’s death: “It is with profound sadness that we at Scorch Radio announce the passing of one of our very own DJs, Selecta N-Tech. He tragically lost his life early this morning in a car accident at Dass Trace, Enterprise, Chaguanas. In just over a year, he grew into a cornerstone of our lineup, bringing his love for music to life with every set and leaving an unforgettable mark on both our team and our listeners.”

Tributes have since poured in from fans, colleagues, and fellow entertainers, many remembering him for his energy, charisma, and passion for music.
