Fallen Tree And Light Pole Cleared At Queen's Park Savannah

The Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government (RDLG) is advising the public that the fallen tree and light pole at the Queen's Park Savannah, in the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy of Trinidad and Tobago, have been cleared and the roadway is now fully passable, as of 4:00 PM this afternoon (Thursday 23rd October, 2025).

The tree and light pole fell shortly before 3:00 PM, rendering the roadway impassable. The Ministry advised persons to seek alternative routes at the time.



The Port-of-Spain City Corporation's Disaster Management Unit (DMU) and Trinidad and Tobago Fire Service, along with all relevant Ministries and agencies, were on-site responding to the incident.
