La Romaine Teen Charged In Multi-Division Motor Vehicle Theft Investigation
A 19-year-old man of Pond Street, La Romaine, has been charged with multiple motor vehicle-related offences, following co-ordinated investigations conducted by Officers across the Southern and South-Western Divisions.
In a Media Release today (Wednesday 15th October, 2025), the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) said the accused was charged in connection with several reports of larceny motor vehicle, attempted larceny motor vehicle, malicious damage, and possession of stolen vehicles.
The charges stem from incidents investigated by Officers from several Police Districts as follows:
Southern Division – San Fernando District
- PC Kanhai – Attempted larceny motor vehicle and malicious damage (September 30th, 2025).
- PC Celestine – Larceny motor vehicle involving a white Y12 AD wagon (June 24th, 2025).
- PC Ramroop – Driving without a Driver’s Permit, driving without a Certificate of Insurance, and larceny motor vehicle involving a silver Y12 AD wagon (October 5th, 2025).
- PC Burke – Larceny motor vehicle involving a white Y12 AD wagon (September 20th, 2025).
Mon Repos District
- WPC Khamroodeen – Larceny motor vehicle involving a white AD wagon (September 21st, 2025).
- PC Jogie – Larceny motor vehicle involving a white Nissan Tiida (September 14th, 2025).
- PC Williams – Attempted larceny motor vehicle involving a Toyota Aqua and malicious damage (September 29th, 2025).
- PC Williams – Attempted larceny motor vehicle involving a Nissan AD wagon (September 30th, 2025).
- PC Jagroop – Larceny motor vehicle involving a white Nissan AD wagon (August 22nd, 2025).
Gasparillo District
- PC Ramsamooj – Possession of a stolen motor vehicle, a silver Nissan Tiida (July 3rd, 2025).
South-Western Division
- PC Jaglal – Larceny motor vehicle, Seukeran Trace, Siparia Old Road, Siparia (August 17th, 2025).
- PC Nelson – Larceny motor vehicle, Coora Road, Siparia (September 10th, 2025).
- PC Alexander – Receiving a stolen motor vehicle, Avocat Village, Fyzabad (September 28th, 2025).
The accused appeared before the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (14th October, 2025).
The TTPS said it “continues to execute targeted operations and joint investigations to address the recent increase in motor vehicle thefts across the Southern and South-Western Divisions.”
Members of the public are urged to remain vigilant, secure their vehicles, and promptly report any suspicious activity or information related to stolen vehicles by contacting their nearest Police Station or calling Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS (800-8477).
