7-Year-Old Boy In Critical Condition After Alleged ‘Push’ At School — Police Investigating
A 7-year-old male student of the Gasparillo Government Primary School is currently in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the San Fernando General Hospital, after he was allegedly pushed by another student at the school on Wednesday afternoon (12th November, 2025). Doctors have reported that he suffered a ruptured spleen, which is inconsistent with the incident reported by the school.
According to Police, the boy's mother was called to the school on Wednesday afternoon after he was allegedly pushed while on the school’s premises. No further information was provided by the school at the time.
The child was subsequently taken to the casualty department of the San Fernando General Hospital by his mother, around 1:30 PM, after complaining of severe abdominal pain. He was said to be in an unconscious state before being transferred to the ICU. Medical staff later determined that he was suffering from a ruptured spleen, which was not consistent with a simple push.
The Hospital informed the San Fernando Police Station about the severity of the boy’s injuries, prompting an immediate response by Officers, including Cpl. Matloo and PC Soogrim, who met with the boy's relatives.
Police confirmed that investigators visited the school earlier today (Thursday 13th November, 2025) as part of the ongoing investigation. However, they could not confirm whether the injuries were actually caused at school or elsewhere.
Investigations are continuing.
More on this as it becomes available.
