Cascade Home Invasion: Permanent Secretary In Ministry Robbed of Cash, Electronics, Government Vehicle

A Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism was among three (3) victims robbed in a terrifying home invasion in Cascade on Thursday night (20th November, 2025).

According to reports, the 52-year-old Permanent Secretary arrived at the residence in a Government vehicle, a white Subaru Crosstrek (PEE 3296), around 7:15 PM, and was being assisted with groceries by two (2) relatives, aged seventy-three (73) and twelve (12), when they were suddenly approached by four (4) masked men.

One of the suspects was armed with a knife and another with a firearm. The armed men ordered the three (3) victims into the house, where the 73-year-old was struck with the firearm. The assailants then ransacked the home, stealing cash, identification cards, bank cards, electronics, personal items and Government property belonging to the Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism.

Among the items stolen were as follows:

  • Multiple wallets containing identification cards, bank cards and cash.
  • An iPhone 14, a Samsung A27, and a Government-issued iPhone 15.
  • A Nintendo Switch gaming device.
  • A 75″ JVC television.
  • A tablet belonging to the Ministry.
  • Two (2) sets of vehicle keys and house keys.

The suspects made their escape in the white Subaru Crosstrek.

Police were notified and the matter is being investigated by WPC Henry of the Belmont Police CID.

Investigations are continuing.
