Closure of Couva District Health Facility On Sunday 9th November, 2025

The South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) is advising the national community that the Couva District Health Facility (CDHF) will be temporarily closed from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday 9th November, 2025 ONLY.

To access Emergency Health Service, members of the public are further advised to undertake the following:

• Visit the Freeport Health Centre for non-urgent matters (OPEN from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Sunday 9th November, 2025 ONLY).
• Visit the San Fernando General Hospital's Emergency Department.
• Visit your nearest Public Health Emergency Department.
• Call EHS @ 811.

Full services resume at CDHF at 6:00 PM on Sunday 9th November, 2025.

According to the SWRHA, “This temporary closure of the CDHF is to facilitate enhancement upgrades to better serve and facilitate our valued clients.”

The SWRHA said it “continues to invite our valued patients and clients to contact our 24-hour Customer Care Centre at 87-SWRHA (877-9742), for any matter in relation to healthcare.”
