Met Office Issues Hazardous Seas Alert Until Tuesday

The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has issued a Hazardous Seas Alert (Yellow Level). The Alert begins at 8:00 PM tonight (Friday 14th November, 2025) and will remain in effect until 12:00 PM on Tuesday (18th November, 2025) for Northern and Eastern near-shore areas of Trinidad and Tobago.

According to the Met Office, Northeasterly, long-period swells are expected to affect the islands over the period with impacts more significant at High Tide. Larger than normal breakers in the surf zone can disrupt daily marine activity, including fishing and recreation. These impacts are expected to be more significant from near-Midnight on Sunday (16th November, 2025) through Monday (17th November, 2025). Impacts will be experienced near Northeastern Tobago first.

Instructions
