Online Death Threats Made Against Opposition Senator Dr. Amery Browne And His Children
Opposition Senator Dr. Amery Browne said he has made a “full report” to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), following a series of online death threats made against him and his family.
In a Facebook post this morning (Saturday 22nd November, 2025), Dr. Browne said, “I have made a full report to the Police Service based on on-line death threats made against me and members of my family in the form of specific comments on my Facebook wall.”
He added, “I have been involved in the active politics of Trinidad and Tobago since 2007, and have never experienced anything like this. I am treating the issue very seriously.”
Dr. Browne also shared screenshots of comments in which a man named “Garvin Seegobin” threatened deadly harm against him if he sees him in public. The man also threatened to “send men” to harm his children.
Investigations are continuing.
