Quick Police Action Results In Arrest of 22-Year-Old Robbery Suspect
A 22-year-old man of Mausica Road, D’Abadie, appeared before Master Rehanna Hosein at the North Masters’ Court on Wednesday (12th November, 2025), after he was charged for the offences of robbery with aggravation, driving without a Driver's Permit and driving without a Certificate of Insurance.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), on Tuesday (11th November, 2025), the accused, Kobe Barrow, pleaded guilty to all charges. The matter was transferred to the Sangre Grande First Court for facts and sentencing and the next date of hearing is set for Tuesday 9th December, 2025.
Police reports state that around 8:11 PM on Thursday 6th November, 2025, two (2) men, one (1) armed with a firearm, entered a supermarket located at the corner of Barker Trace and Eastern Main Road, Sangre Grande. The assailants announced a hold-up and then proceeded to steal a quantity of cash, cigarettes and alcohol before escaping in a white Toyota Aqua.
Officers from the Eastern Division Task Force and Sangre Grande Police Station mounted a quick response and broadcasted an alert regarding the vehicle and occupants. North Central Division Task Force Officers subsequently intercepted the vehicle in the vicinity of Wallerfield and Cumuto Intersection, and arrested one (1) male occupant. Officers recovered the stolen items inside the vehicle and also discovered false registration plates taped over the vehicle’s original plates.
Crime scene investigators processed the vehicle and items at the Sangre Grande Police Station.
Following further enquiries, the 22-year-old man was charged on Sunday 10th November, 2025 with robbery with aggravation, driving without a Driver's Permit and driving without a Certificate of Insurance.
Investigations are continuing.
