Thunderstorms Expected On Tuesday And Wednesday [5-Day Weather Outlook]
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), weak perturbations are likely to cause intermittent variations in surface convergence with equatorial moisture build-up, mainly across the Southern Windward Islands, during this outlook period.
Tropical Waves, Troughs And Disturbances
- There are no significant features for cyclonic development analyzed for this outlook period.
Looking Beyond This Outlook Period
- A strong trough reaching the Lesser Antilles by Friday (5th December, 2025) or Saturday (6th December, 2025), could cause some instability across the islands, with an increase in wind speeds over the Leeward Islands and localized convection over the Windward Islands.
- These early analyses so far into the future are subjected to much variation as time progresses. The Met Office said it will continue to analyze and monitor all developments or possible developments within our Area of Interest.
Seas
- The wind waves in the open waters to the near-East and Northeast of Trinidad and Tobago are expected to be near 1m, peaking at 2.2m on Friday (28th).
Wind
- The wind in the near-surface to the lower mid-level over Trinidad and Tobago and the Southern Windward Islands (2,000 ft to 5,000 ft) is expected to be near 20 kts to 25 kts until Friday (28th), when there is likely to be a relative reduction to near 20 kts for the remainder of this outlook period. Direction is expected to be between East-Southeast and East-Northeast during this outlook period.
Dust
- Generally mild to moderate concentrations of dust will be in the atmosphere for this outlook period. Sensitive persons are advised to take the necessary precautions.

- Increased surface convergence and moisture build-up across Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands raise the probability for isolated thunderstorms to medium to high on Tuesday (25th) and to low to medium on Wednesday (26th).

- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times, with showers over varying areas and a medium to high chance for isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms.
- The Leeward Islands: Generally fair with a few brief showers, especially near hilly areas.
Wednesday (26th November, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago: Partly cloudy, with showers over varying areas and a medium to high chance of isolated heavy showers or thunderstorms, favouring Southwest Tobago, Eastern Trinidad, and Eastern to Southern near-offshore areas during the morning, and Western Trinidad by early afternoon.
- The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Generally fair, becoming partly cloudy at times, with a few light to moderate showers and a low chance for an isolated heavy shower, mainly near hilly areas.
Thursday (27th November, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Generally fair with brief showers over varying areas and a low chance for an isolated heavy shower, mainly near hilly areas during the afternoon.
- The Leeward Islands: Partly cloudy with a few showers over varying areas and a low to medium chance for a heavy shower or an isolated thunderstorm.
Friday (28th November, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago and the Windward Islands: Partly cloudy, with brief showers over varying areas. There is a medium chance of an isolated heavy shower or isolated thunderstorm, favouring Eastern Tobago, Eastern Trinidad, and Eastern to Southeastern offshore areas during the morning, and Western Trinidad by afternoon.
- The Leeward Islands: Fair to partly cloudy, with a few showers over varying areas and a medium chance of a heavy shower or an isolated thunderstorm.
Saturday (29th November, 2025)
- Trinidad and Tobago: Mostly fair, becoming partly cloudy over Southern areas of Trinidad. There is a medium chance for an isolated heavy shower or thunderstorm over Southeast, South, and Southwest coastal and offshore areas of Trinidad.
- The remainder of the Lesser Antilles: Fair to partly cloudy in some areas, with a few brief showers, and a low to medium chance for a heavy shower near hilly areas.
