Today: Fair, Breezy, 40% Chance For Heavy Showers — Saharan Dust Increases Tonight; 32°C Max

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS), today (Saturday 8th November, 2025) will be fair and breezy, becoming increasingly cloudy at times, with isolated light to moderate showers, favouring, but not confined to, Eastern and hilly areas. There is a medium (40%) chance that some of these showers could become heavy and/or thundery. Conditions would become mostly settled by nightfall, and include a gradual increase in dust haze.

The Met Office notes the following:

  1. In the vicinity of heavy showers and/or thunderstorms, we can expect gusty winds, street/flash flooding and isolated ponding in areas so prone.
  2. Marine interests along Northern and Eastern shorelines are advised to exercise caution due to the presence of Northerly long period swells.
  3. Persons sensitive to changes in air quality should prepare, as dust haze would increase from overnight.
