TWO (2) Men Caught With Stolen Toyota Axio In Penal Following Robbery With Violence

Quick response by Officers of the Penal Police Station led to the arrest of two (2) suspects and the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle, following a report of robbery with violence in the Debe district, early Sunday morning (23rd November, 2025).

According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), around 3:30 AM, the victim, a 54-year-old man of Lowkie Trace, Penal, reported that he was walking along Ramrattan Maharaj Trace, Debe, in the vicinity of Home Stretch Bar, returning to his parked rented white Toyota Axio motor vehicle.

At that time, he was approached by two (2) men: a 21-year-old man, identified as Nathan Ramsundar of Dabiedial Road, Penal, and a 33-year-old man, identified as Anderson Harris of Spencer Avenue, Mon Diablo.

The suspects relieved the victim of TT $700 in cash and the keys to the rented vehicle before escaping in the said white Toyota Axio.

PC Lange and a team of Officers were on patrol when, acting on information received, including the vehicle’s GPS coordinates, proceeded to Penal Rock Road, Haggard Trace, where they observed a gold Nissan Almera partially blocking a bushy roadway.

Further checks led Officers approximately 100 feet off the roadway to an abandoned white concrete structure, where they found the stolen Toyota Axio, concealed among bushes. At the time of discovery, one suspect was seated in the driver’s seat of the stolen vehicle, while the second was observed removing the rear identification plate. Both men were cautioned and arrested at the scene.

Both vehicles were conveyed to the San Fernando Police Station for further investigations.
